Uryu and Rantao were struggling so hard so Ichigo arriving to block Kariya was a massive moment that finally turned the tide of that battle

I know everyone says to skip the Bount arc because it is filler but this episode actually had some cool bits like when Ichigo had that inner hollow moment against Kariya, it reminded me of why his powers are so scary and now that Rantao revealed the whole Seireitei is basically a giant bomb with those Jokai Crests things are looking dangerous for everyone in the Seireitei.

Jin Kariya has a really dark past with all that oppression stuff but it does not justify blowing up the whole Seireitei with those Jokai Crests

Seeing the inner hollow take over for a second during the Kariya fight gave me chills and I love when Ichigo loses control like that even for a moment

I think I actually yelled when Ichigo showed up to save Uryu and Rantao because that timing was perfect and Kariya really needs to go down now

Rantao explaining the Jokai Crests was a bit of a massive info dump but at least the stakes feel real now that the Soul Society might actually explode

Kariya thinking he had the upper hand only to get surprised by the hollow mask appearing was the highlight of the episode for sure

The animation during the fight with Kariya looked decent and it was cool to see the Soul Reapers scrambling to find those hidden seals before everything blows up

The backstory for Kariya is somewhat interesting, but it still feels like this arc is dragging its feet while we wait for the real fight to start.

It is wild how many episodes this Bount stuff is taking but Ichigo jumping into the fight at the last second is still classic Bleach and he arrived right when Uryu needed him

The way the wind just blew Kariya away at the end was such a weird choice and it made the whole battle feel pointless

Seeing Ran'Tao and Kariya at the end was supposed to be sad but it just felt empty because those characters are so boring

I felt like the moment Ichigo almost lost control to his hollow was cool, but it sucks that it happened in a story that everyone says to skip

It is weird how Kariya wanted to destroy the Soul Society but his actual plan felt so small, and the fight animation was not even that good

Byakuya just standing there while Ichigo did all the heavy lifting was annoying and the whole final clash was way too short

My head hurts from trying to care about these Bount guys and I am so glad I can finally move on to the actual story now

That inner hollow scream was the only part that actually felt like Bleach and everything else just felt like it didn't matter

You can tell the writers didn't know how to end this because Kariya just crumbling into dust felt like such a cheap way to get Ichigo out of that fight

I finally finished the Bount stuff and honestly Kariya turned out to be such a dud of a villain compared to the Soul Society guys

This arc is why people tell you to skip the original Bleach anime and seeing it finally end feels like a massive relief

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 107 sits near the climax of the anime-original Bount Invasion arc, following Uryū Ishida and Ran'Tao's earlier encounter with Kariya and shifting the spotlight to Ichigo for the penultimate showdown. It directly bridges the arc's rising action into its final resolution, setting up the concluding clash in the episodes that follow. The canonical Soul Society arc is behind us, and the Bount filler arc is winding toward its endpoint before the series returns to manga-adapted material.
