I am happy the Bount arc is done at last and seeing Kariya turn to dust felt like a massive weight off my shoulders

The way that flashback dropped the bomb about the Soul Society creating the Bounts really messed with my head, turning Kariya from a simple villain into something far more tragic. I honestly felt this heavy sense of injustice for him when he finally met his end, like his whole existence was just a cruel setup.

It was cool seeing Rantao and Uryu play a part in the finale, though Ichigo definitely needed that inner hollow boost to finish the job.

The moment that inner hollow tore its way out to shield Ichigo from Kariya, I genuinely gasped – I was certain he was completely done for. Seeing that raw, almost frantic power surge from within him just confirms for me that Ichigo's strength is as much a burden as it is a gift.

I was so hyped when that hollow mask flickered on for a second because it felt like Ichigo was finally getting some real power back. This filler went on for way too long, but seeing Kariya crumble into nothing was a decent way to wrap it all up. I am just ready to get back to the actual manga story now.

I am so glad this arc is over so we can finally start the Arrancar stuff and Kariya was a decent villain but forty episodes was way too much

Ichinose sacrificing himself just to give Ichigo an opening against Kariya was the only way that battle was ever going to end

Kariya just turning into a pile of dust at the end felt kind of weird and sudden after all those episodes of build up you had to sit through

Uryu helping out from the sidelines was cool to see but the actual fight between Ichigo and Kariya felt slow compared to the stuff in Soul Society

The way Kariya just vanished at the end was so weird after such a long fight and Ichigo barely won even with the hollow helping him

The animation during the final clash looked pretty good but that ending where he just turns into dust was so abrupt and awkward for such a big antagonist

Kariya wanting to destroy everything because he was tired of being immortal actually made sense and it gave him more depth than previous enemies

I actually felt bad for Kariya at the very end when he was talking to Ichigo, because it seemed like he was just exhausted from living forever and wanted it all to stop. The way he just vanished into the wind made the victory feel kind of hollow for Ichigo and I liked that tone for a filler ending. Now I can finally get ready for the Arrancars

Uryu helped out with the seal at just the right time and he really deserved that win after everything those Bounts did to him

That final clash had better animation than most of this arc but the preview for the next episode is the really exciting part

It was heavy hearing that Kariya basically wanted to be stopped the whole time because it makes him being a jerk feel different

Ichinose's sword coming back to haunt Kariya at the end was my favorite touch because it made his earlier sacrifice feel much more important

The fight was alright, but the best part was seeing the Inner Hollow pop out for a second to mess with Kariya before the end

Ichigo looked so conflicted when Kariya let that final blow hit and it made the ending feel more depressing than a normal filler win

Kariya turning into dust was such a weirdly quiet way for a villain to go out and Ichigo just standing there in the wind looked cool

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 108 serves as the climax of the anime-original Bount arc, bringing the extended conflict between Ichigo and Kariya to its decisive moment after escalating battles across the previous several episodes. It directly follows the intensified clash in Episode 107 and leads into Episode 109, which handles the arc's resolution and aftermath. The Bount arc is entirely filler, so viewers skipping non-canon content can safely bypass this stretch without losing any connection to the main storyline.
