That scene where the memories of Walpurgis Night come flooding back actually made sense for why Imari is so unstable, and it definitely explains her reaction to the new murder cases

Mentioning the Spear of Longinus so much makes me feel like everyone is doomed and watching Imari struggle with those memories while Kitami laughs inside her head is just too much

The animation for the ritual scenes in this episode was actually pretty solid and you can really feel the grime and the dark magic stuff through the screen and it makes the whole thing feel way more gross

I really hated that flashback to the old ritual sites because it reminded me how messed up this series is and now Imari is losing her mind while Kitami crawls back into the real world

Kitami soul starting to take over Imari was genuinely creepy and the way her personality just shifts mid-scene felt so wrong and you can tell things are getting way too bleak for the Tokken team

The detective angle with Tokken feels a bit out of place compared to the vibe of the original series, but seeing Imari deal with her past during the recollection scenes adds some needed weight. I just wish the mystery of the Spear of Longinus moved a bit faster because the investigation scenes are dragging down the occult horror elements I liked.

finding out about the spear of longinus during the recollection scene was actually a cool way for me to see the connection to the old dark magic

those character designs are so much worse than the first series and it makes the serious scenes with the cult look kind of silly

flashbacks to walpurgis night help explain the connection between the murders and the old ritual cast and it makes the detective work feel more dangerous

imari being part of tokken is the only thing keeping the show grounded since she actually knows how dangerous this cult ritual is

most of this episode felt slow with the detectives and it really needed more horror scenes like the ritual to keep things moving

seeing imari again and hearing about the spear of longinus was such a cool throwback to the first series the cult stuff is finally getting interesting

spending too much time on the investigation and not enough on the actual occult parts makes the detectives feel boring compared to the cult

The pacing was so slow, and I really hated how long they spent inside that car talking about the carbonized bodies instead of showing the ritual

that spear of longinus lore tying back to the old stuff was cool and the body at the start was actually pretty creepy

I think the way the mystery is unfolding with the Spear of Longinus is actually pretty solid for this kind of series. It was cool seeing Imari try to navigate the detective work while her past keeps creeping back in during those recollection scenes. The whole vibe of the show is so much darker and the cult stuff is creepy.

That flashback to the original series caught me off guard because it really hammers home how much trauma Imari is still carrying around while she hunts this cult

The way the murders tie back to the original Walpurgis Night incident is actually pretty clever and it makes the investigation feel much heavier now

Seeing the Spear of Longinus return in this ritualistic way made me nervous because it connects back to everything Imari went through at the school

Imari being back in the thick of this occult mess makes me so uneasy because she already went through hell and now the Spear of Longinus stuff is just getting weirder

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off the midpoint of a six-episode series, this episode functions as a connective hinge — drawing on the investigation and dark history established in episodes one through three while beginning to position the story toward its endgame. Imari's role within Tokken and the occult mystery surrounding the murders are likely deepening here, with past revelations resurfacing to recontextualize earlier events. Episode 5 will carry whatever weight this chapter sets in motion, making 'Recollection' a crucial piece for anyone wanting the finale to land.
