Such a good episode. Really captures the horrors of the titans and being stuck out there with no way back and wanting to give up.

Mikasas line "If I'm dead, I won't even be able to remember you anymore" is one I've carried with me ever since I saw it as someone whos suffered with depression for most of my life. It really helped changed my perspective.

Erens entrance at the end as an abnormal is done well, leaving enough questions and confusion

This episode is so intense and chilling. That scene really makes me sweat because why would you chose that way Eren my dear. IT was so shocking and speechless.

Ep 7 was intense and chaotic, with soldiers running out of gas and options. You could really feel the fear and desperation. Mikasa’s breakdown showed a vulnerable side that made her strength feel more real. The ending was shocking and completely unexpected. Can’t wait for next ep

The twist with the entry of an abnormal titan completely reframes the stakes. It’s the first time I realized this series plays the long game. I also liked how Mikasa conflicting emotions are portrayed here. So with this entry of a peculiar titan, a hope is emerged.

mikasa calling everyone cowards and then jumping off alone was actually surprising and she really is the only one keeping it together right now

I still cant believe Eren is gone and seeing Armin cry like that broke my heart but then that crazy titan showed up and just started beating up the others and it was totally unexpected

Mikasa wasting all her gas because she was grieving was such a reckless move and she almost paid for it if that rogue titan had not shown up to save her

Mikasa saying the world is cruel yet also beautiful really sticks out especially when she was staring down those two giants with nothing but broken blades

That roar at the end sounded way too human for a titan and it gives off a weird feeling that there is something way bigger going on here

The scene where that one cadet just gave up and ended it was so dark and it really showed how hopeless everyone feels right now without any fuel left

I am totally confused by that ending because a titan just saved Mikasa from getting eaten by another titan and it actually seemed like it was protecting her

Armin giving his last canisters to Mikasa was a huge move and he looks so small and vulnerable sitting there while the others fly off to the headquarters

The way that rogue titan moves is so different from the others because it actually uses martial arts and it makes you wonder if there is someone inside it or if it is just an abnormal

The realization that their training was for nothing was so depressing for those kids, especially when Marco was questioning their purpose. It is a miracle anyone is still moving after seeing their friends get slaughtered like that

That scene with the cadet shooting himself in the mouth was actually haunting and it really shows how much the hope has just died for everyone trapped on those roofs

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 7 of 25, this is the third chapter of the Battle for Trost—the season's first major sustained conflict following the devastating breach in episode 5. The previous episodes established the cadets' vulnerability and the cost of combat; this one deepens those wounds while planting seeds for a critical shift in the battle's trajectory. It directly sets up the next phase where the surviving cadets regroup and the strategic dimension of retaking Trost begins to take shape.
