📖 SYNOPSIS
Facing off on opposite sides of the battlefield, two Ditto wage an entire battle that's just... transforming. Over and over. The one who pulls off the most transformations wins. That's the whole premise of this short ONA, and honestly, the simplicity is what makes it work.
Based on the Pokémon games, this one-episode special takes the most overlooked Pokémon in the franchise — the gooey, copy-paste blob — and gives it the spotlight in a rapid-fire transformation contest. Think of it like a shapeshifting game of shiritori (that Japanese word chain game), where each Ditto has to keep one-upping the other with creative new forms. The comedy comes from watching these two pink blobs go all out in what's essentially a flex competition, each transformation more unexpected than the last. It's quick, it's silly, and it knows exactly what it is.
The vibe is pure lighthearted fun — comedic and action-packed without taking itself seriously for a single second. If you remember the Ditto episodes from the original Pokémon anime, like Ditto's Mysterious Mansion or that Imitation Confrontation episode, this hits a similar note but leans harder into the absurd competition angle. It's aimed at kids but the kind of short, breezy watch that anyone can enjoy on a lunch break. One episode, zero commitment, and you get to root for a blob. There are worse ways to spend a few minutes.
