Episode Context

Coming off the resolution of Megumi's arc in episode 19, the series pivots back to the foundational Satou-Yamazaki partnership just as external pressures threaten to dissolve it. As episode 20 of 24, this is deep in the endgame, the show is systematically stripping away Satou's support structures. This episode establishes the stakes that carry directly into the final four episodes, where Tatsuhiro must confront isolation and self-reliance head-on.
