The way the supernatural atmosphere shifts into something more intimate is done so well and Hachishaku looks gorgeous

Sadako coming out of the screen looked so good and the animation on her hair is definitely the best part

I thought the urban legend stuff would be a gimmick but seeing Hanako actually get a happy ending made me smile

That scene where Hachishaku tower over him is terrifying and hot and the height difference is insane

Mary being a discarded doll makes the whole thing feel way more intense and the way she clings to him is creepy

That ending with Hachishaku-sama making her move was exactly what was needed to keep the momentum going and her character design just looks so good compared to the others

Using the computer to reach Sadako was such a cool way to update that legend and she looks way better with the long hair covering her face like that

The creepy atmosphere in the school halls really works when Hanako is just standing there staring and it makes the shift to the more intimate scenes feel earned

The way they handled Hanako and her backstory was actually pretty sad, and I didn't think I would get this invested in a show about urban legends like this, because seeing her finally find someone who didn't run away from her in that stall really got to me and made the whole supernatural romance aspect feel way more grounded than I expected

The height difference with Hachishaku-sama is still the best part of the show, and that scene in the hallway made her feel so intimidating while she was looking down on him

My heart broke seeing Mary crying over her old owner and the way she clung to her new life was the sweetest part of the episode

Watching Mary get some actual attention after being thrown away like trash felt right because that doll deserved way better than a dumpster

Hachishaku-sama appearing in that doorway was intimidating and the way she towered over the room really sold how much of a forgotten god she used to be

Seeing Sadako crawl out of the screen like that but for a completely different reason than the movies was a wild twist on how she usually gets portrayed

I felt so bad for Hanako being stuck in that bathroom for so long and seeing her finally get some comfort from someone made me smile when she smiled

hanako has such a sad story and seeing her finally get some kind of affection in that bathroom stall made me feel pretty bad for her

watching sadako crawl out of the screen like that was terrifying, but the way she changed once she was actually in the room caught me off guard

i definitely didnt think hachishaku-sama would be that huge and seeing her tower over him made the whole encounter feel totally different than the other girls

people keep debating if these stories could actually happen in real life but hachishaku-sama showing up in the woods felt way too real and scary

seeing mary the doll actually move around like that was so creepy and then things got weirdly hot so fast when she started talking to him

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the third of six standalone anthology episodes, this entry hits the exact midpoint of the season. The first two episodes established the series' rhythm — each legend functions as its own self-contained story with minimal carryover. This episode neither closes out a larger arc nor launches one, but its placement at the halfway mark suggests it holds to the established pattern while potentially raising the intensity heading into the back half.
