This magic's very strictness, however, renders even his snack-sneaking, game-playing subordinates unable to perceive him, highlighting the absurd purity he expects.

Despite Ruche's carefully crafted spell, the Princess Syalis remains sound asleep, oblivious to his presence. He tries repeatedly to wake her, only to discover his armored hand passes right through her. This shocking realization brings a storm of blue lightning around his helmet, as he grasps the profound failure of his magic: it now renders him unperceivable even to those with a 'pure heart', including the Princess he sought to save. His frustration is palpable, a knight unable to touch his charge.

Defeated and alone, Ruche wanders a melancholy forest path, his sighs echoing his failure. Unexpectedly, the Demon King appears, surprising the distraught knight. A hazy flashback reveals the improbable origin of their friendship: a shared understanding forged over a 'Holy Cross' and, more surprisingly, a mutual love for anime. The Demon King, with a sly grin, demonstrates he can indeed perceive Ruche, suggesting a bond beyond conventional magic.

Ruche, now unmasked and revealing a middle-aged, worried face, confesses the utter failure of his magic. The Demon King, however, offers a different perspective, suggesting the magic might simply allow perception only by friends. This theory is immediately put to the test when the Demon King invites Ruche to watch an upcoming 'Gajindaa' movie broadcast in the castle's private theater. Realizing his 'unperceivable' status makes him the perfect stealth companion, Ruche's face lights up with renewed purpose, transforming his magical mishap into an opportunity for camaraderie.

The narrator introduces the grim reality of the ongoing war, but quickly pivots to the peculiar 'torture' endured by Princess Syalis at the hands of the Torture Princess. Far from suffering, Syalis revels in the gourmet treats offered, eagerly volunteering 'secrets' about regional cat breeds for the promise of delicious food. The focus then shifts to the Torture Princess's own home life, as she wakes from a nap under a kotatsu, seemingly well-rested.

Torture Princess initially believes she is well-organized, only to discover her 'past self' still sleeping under the kotatsu, surrounded by snacks and manga. Her horror deepens as she realizes she'd fallen into a cycle of procrastination and comfort, trying on old school uniforms and looking at nostalgic photos. As she struggles to break free from the kotatsu's allure, dream-like sequences pull her further into sleep, her own mother's face transforming into a cartoon character. The thought of Princess Syalis's eager anticipation for today's 'torture' — a Mont Blanc pie — finally galvanizes her. She declares she won't let the Princess be sad and dramatically rushes off to work, the kotatsu's grip finally broken.

Even the fearsome Demon King, Maou, is not immune to mundane parental anxieties. He expresses profound sadness to his subordinate, Ex, about not seeing his daughter, the Torture Princess, for three weeks. His mother, however, reminds him that such absence is normal for an adult child. Maou laments sacrificing family for work, but a simple photo of his daughter giving a peace sign, sent via chat, instantly rekindles his motivation and spirits. His anger and sadness quickly transform into renewed determination to work hard for his family.

The young vampire, Banira, excitedly announces her plan to 'torture' Princess Syalis with a trip to a pancake shop, a scheme that delights her parents, Dracula and Carmilla. Despite Dracula's initial worries about Banira getting lost, the cunning child assures them she will escort the princess. Later, Dracula and Carmilla, disguised in stylish dark outfits and sunglasses, follow Banira and Syalis as they meet at a train station and embark on their outing, their parental concern overriding any villainous duties.

As Banira and Princess Syalis navigate the shopping street, Banira's poor sense of direction quickly becomes apparent. Dracula and Carmilla, observing from afar, grow increasingly exasperated by the detours. Carmilla, ever observant, realizes Syalis intentionally unties her shoelace next to a large map, choosing not to help Banira directly. She concludes that Syalis deliberately prolongs the journey to extend the 'torture' experience, cleverly leveraging Banira's innocent inefficiency. Eventually, they arrive at the cute cafe, where both Princess Syalis and Banira joyfully indulge in delicious pancakes, even sharing with a surprised demon minion.
