Maire contemplates the upcoming black dragon fight, touching a blood-stained cloak, a memento of Albert-san. Logue also grapples with his past failure to protect Albert, vowing to confront the dragon without hesitation. Carol admits her nervousness to Younger Carol but hardens her resolve for revenge. The Black Dragon immediately lashes out, its tail sweeping, its eyes glowing red. Orun leaps onto its tail, showing his immediate, aggressive tactic. Logue, Maire, and Carol declare their long-awaited vengeance, activating their combat spells. Orun empowers himself with "Status Up" and "Quadruple," preparing for the dire fight.

As the junior explorers proceed, Gildas and Zuriere discuss their connection to the "Dragon Killer." Zuriere reveals that Sophie's group are his disciples. Gildas, seeing an opportunity, decides to use them as bait to lure out the Dragon Killer. The scene ends with the Black Dragon's tail—or perhaps a different monstrous threat—about to strike at Logue, as Orun is suddenly called for.
