EPISODE REVIEWS

Another setup/transitional episode with a bit of a slice-of-life feel, but this time it focuses more on the overarching plot of the story. The looming threat really opens up a lot of possibilities for future conflicts, making the story even more interesting.

My heart broke for Tessia staring out that carriage window because she looked so empty after everything that happened at the academy and Curtis clearly had no idea what to say to her

The way Arthur used magic to make his mom feel special on the dance floor was beautiful but then that stranger on the balcony showed up and ruined the peaceful mood with those warnings

Those artifact rings the Lances got look like they grant immense power and it makes sense why they are the ultimate defenders for the continent

That waltz between Arthur and Alice with the shimmering light particles was such a beautiful interlude before the story gets heavy again

Watching Ellie help Arthur get ready for the party hit home for me, because it was nice to see them act like a normal family for a second

The animation is still looking kind of rough and janky in some of the ballroom scenes but the story is getting so good that it is possible to almost ignore it and that mysterious guy on the balcony giving Arthur cryptic warnings about the war was definitely the most interesting part of the whole celebration because he seems to know everything about Art

Arthur staring down Bairon while being grabbed showed so much confidence because he knew he was right about Lucas being a traitor

That hooded group talking about a vessel and plans to conquer the continent at the end is making me worried for Arthur and his family

Bairon needs to chill because that recording Director Cynthia showed proved Lucas was a total snake and watching him get humbled in front of everyone was the highlight of the week

The Lances look so intimidating standing there in those white uniforms, and it really feels like the world is about to change forever with this new alliance

Seeing the three kings finally stand together on those magic screens gave me chills and the scale of the war feels so much bigger now

I felt so bad for Tessia seeing her look so hollow in that carriage after everything that happened during the school attack

Wow, I actually liked the pacing of this episode. It's starting to really feel like a new chapter of the story, and I wonder if we're getting a third season? 🤔 We get introduced to many new faces, and it seems things are gonna get even more complicated. The end of Season 2 is nearing. Completely unrelated, but I gotta mention: I like Arthur's hair. 🤣

The introduction of those six characters was a really grand ceremony but it felt a little underwhelming somehow. But I can't point my finger at how hmmmm. The pan to Lucas's side during that scene tho was a nice touch

That dancing part was heartwarming 🥹 nice breather episode before school starts. The tension buildup in the first scene also set the stage for the new characters well
