VerifiedI like how they’ve gone from detective investigating the murder to the deep route of life and death, which is certainly a main subject to be talked about since MaoMao is living in a place that provides life or death to any sort of situation or mistake or even offending the wrong type of people. The first person died because of several reasons and the second person died because allegedly it was suicide, in the end the perpetrator never get caught and that’s something scary to think about.

VerifiedThe Rear Palace is full of intrigues and conspiracies. People scheming, quarreling, backstabs. You never know when a malicious third party can do something that could end up with your end. This episode touches on this subject as Maomao is asked to help in two different tragedies.

VerifiedI know the ‘whodunit' vibes in this anime are getting stronger by this episode, but I think I want to take the opportunity to comment about the visuals instead. It's so beautiful, especially during Mao and Jinshi's moment by the end of the episode. It's such a sight for sore eyes.

It’s exciting because you’re anticipating more mystery along with funnier scenes from the female and male leads in the next episodes.

The tension this episode was insane! Maomao finally connecting all the dots on the death and realizing it was a cover up had me hooked. Seeing her cold, logical side come out when dealing with the killing was such a heavy moment. it shows how thriller series this is
