Elsewhere, a Scent-tracking Assassin, with an unnerving keenness, zeroes in on his prey, a sinister smile confirming their immediate peril. The luxury liner is a cage, and the hunt has begun.

On the main deck, Anya Forger delights in the starting fireworks, perched on a smiling Loid Forger's shoulders, oblivious to the deadly ballet above. Yor's group, however, quickly runs into professional killers disguised as ordinary passengers. She swiftly diverts them into crew-only areas, using a special key provided by McMahon, the Director of Garden, moving them towards an upper deck. The thunderous booms of the fireworks begin to echo their own dangerous journey, a percussive score to impending violence.

A sniper, perched high, targets Olka, but Yor lunges, taking the bullet herself and sustaining a shoulder wound. Far away in Berlint, a sick Yuri Briar collapses during a State Security Service raid, muttering for his sister. Dominic, his colleague, finds him delirious in bed, craving Yor's bizarre home remedies. Flashbacks reveal a young Yor piling blankets, tying leeks, battling bees, and bringing a wild boar home, all to make him putrid, yet well-intentioned, teas. Despite the comical horror, young Yuri drinks it, vowing to create a peaceful world for his kind sister. In the present, the foul taste of 'Mr. Bear' cold medicine instantly revitalizes him, mirroring Yor's enduring influence and motivating him to pursue his mission with renewed vigor.
