The Caged Songstress's Torment
In a chilling sequence of fragmented memories, Kyouya is shown in a desperate struggle, reaching for Nagi as thorny tendrils enclose her. Her face, reflected in shattered blue, registers sheer terror. The scene shifts to Nagi in a dark void, wearing a black dress, clutching her chest in evident anguish. She floats, ethereal and isolated, her eyes unfocused, a captive within this unsettling space. A glowing bubble shows another Nagi, in a bridal gown, hinting at a fractured identity.
Samael's Grand Deception
A stone statue crumbles, revealing Samael, who emerges into an organic tunnel adorned with glowing bubbles. One bubble holds the bridal gown Nagi, another the Nagi in the black dress. Samael extends his hand, a gesture of control and dark purpose. He addresses the Nagi in white, declaring, "You will sing the song of hope here, Until the universe runs out." Above, a colossal, eye-like disk in the sky rotates ominously, expanding with intricate patterns as it hovers over a city bathed in rainbow light.
Kocytus Awakens
The main cast, Kyouya, Medea, Seirene, Apo, Shinn, and June, stare in stunned awe as the giant, green-glowing Kocytus disk fills the sky, its arms extending. "What is that?!" Kyouya exclaims. Medea, ever stoic, names it, "Kocytus." She reveals she has seen it activate before, ten years prior, adding a layer of grave concern to Kyouya's questioning face.
A Decade of Desperation
A flashback to ten years ago inside the organic tunnel shows Samael kneeling before the bridal gown Nagi, who glows with rainbow light. He expresses his desperate hope, "She's finally reviving. This Kocytus, which fell into slumber with Eden-sama 10 years ago." Arkhon stands by, observing Earth from space, confirming their target. Samael, now glowing, speaks to Nagi, "To save you, to borrow your power just one more time," his hand clenching with pain and determination. Arkhon, eyes glowing red and claws extending, states coldly, "If we acquire all of Earth's idea, it is possible."
Medea's Strategic Insight
Medea explains Kocytus to the worried crew, revealing its true nature: "With the songstress's power, by approaching Earth's very presence, it can be controlled freely both in location and range. It was meant to be the ultimate weapon." She clarifies its ten-year dormancy was due to the new songstress's minimized power and Eden-sama's slumber. The revelation that Nagi is now moving Kocytus creates a stark connection between her and the looming threat. Meanwhile, Samael, cracks appearing on his skin, commands Arkhon to take control of Earth.
Arkhon's True Face
Samael's skin cracks, and he transforms into a monstrous, black, rock-like creature, roaring in agony and proclaiming, "Eden-sama is the real sacrifice!" Arkhon, initially shocked, is then revealed as the true betrayer. He mocks Samael, "You never doubted people. It was an inevitable clash between Xenos and Earthlings." Arkhon boasts of having pushed Orpheus, activating the incomplete Kocytus years ago and causing Eden's slumber, using Samael as a tool for his own grim goals. He then brutally strikes the shattered Samael with his glowing sword, leaving him to be consumed by black tendrils. Arkhon's final struggle is depicted, as he too is consumed.
Nagi's Interrogation
Nagi awakens in a dark void, confused. The monstrous face of Samael looms over her, declaring, "I finally have you. The embodiment of Eden-sama. And our daughter." Nagi, looking at her bridal gown self, questions him, "What are you talking about?" Samael unveils his plan to absorb all universal "ideas" to keep his beloved Eden-sama alive forever. Nagi, heartbroken, challenges his twisted love, "Do you think Eden-sama, the person you love, will be happy doing something like that?" Samael's enraged response, "If she awakens, I'll ask her," highlights the delusion at the heart of his cruelty.
Kyouya's Unyielding Resolve
As the giant Kocytus crashes down, Kyouya and Shinn narrowly escape. Hanging precariously, the team struggles. "Are you going to chase her, Nagi?" Apo asks, to which Kyouya defiantly replies, "Yes, I am!" Despite the seemingly hopeless situation, and Seirene's playful exasperation, Kyouya remains steadfast. He looks at Nagi's tablet, stating, "Nagi. I will follow you no matter what." He concludes with unwavering determination, "It's useless. I will meet the best ending with a smile. With Seirene."
Jun's Return to the Stage
Jun, playing her guitar, discusses her past role as a songstress with Kyouya. She asserts, "I'm still the main vocalist of S/V/S." Kyouya recounts how Jun revealed the truth to him, a supposed enemy, asking him to save her comrades. Jun, smiling sadly, acknowledges the unreasonableness of their situation. She then declares her intent to return to S/V/S and her comrades, to become the best songstress in the universe. Kyouya, reaching out, promises, "I will sing the best song in the universe with you."
Harmonia's Last Stand
In the control room, Medea and her crew watch in tension as Kocytus, now a gigantic form devouring asteroids, approaches Earth. A crew member estimates impact in about 100 minutes. Medea, calm amidst the rising panic, smiles. She reminds them, "The same thing happened 10 years ago," and reassures them that their survival means victory. Her confidence galvanizes the crew, steeling them for the coming threat.
Jun's Promise
Jun shares her somber prognosis: "Unfortunately, you won't make it in time. Xenos. Arkhon will soon devour Earth's Idea." She adds with a confident smile, "Your song won't save the world. If I wasn't there..." Kyouya reacts with shock, clutching his glowing hand. Jun promises to erase Seirene's curse and turn her back into a normal human, but quickly corrects herself, declaring Seirene will be a superstar. Her final words are a powerful declaration of intent, "With my song, I'll reach everyone on Earth and in the universe."
