Ashibe, a boy full of bright ideas, proudly holds a long snack, presenting it to his companion, Goma-chan. The little seal claps his flippers, anticipating the treat. Ashibe's Mother observes from nearby, her attention divided between a recipe book and the lively pair.

Ashibe's Mother, ever practical, warns against crumbs on the tatami mats. Her suggestion that Ashibe eat naked in the bathroom to avoid mess is meant as a joke. However, the boy takes it with a solemn earnestness that sends her into a frantic panic as he begins to undress right there in the living room. Goma-chan watches this peculiar human interaction unfold with quiet alarm.

After the bathroom debacle, Ashibe and Goma-chan find themselves in the backyard, a compromise for mess-free snacking. Though initially grumbling, Ashibe's spirits lift quickly, declaring any place a 'paradise' with his snack in hand. He performs a little dance for Goma-chan, who waits patiently, but this joyful moment is cut short as the snack, 'Oishii Bojo', tragically snaps into three pieces upon opening.

One piece of the snack lands on Goma-chan's head, a small mercy. The second piece, however, flies directly into the seal's mouth. Ashibe's relief turns to horror as Goma-chan chokes, the dry snack proving impossible to swallow.
