That moment when she looked down at him with those cold eyes hit me hard and it felt like she was really judging him even though it was her job

The animation dipped a little bit in the middle of the procedure and it felt like they were reusing some of the same frames from the first episode

The art style really captures her disgusted face and makes the scenes way more effective, especially when Yamada is clearly struggling with his guilt over the whole situation.

I felt so bad for Yamada when he was apologizing for making her do that but then she just kept going anyway and that was so intense

Tachibana looking so annoyed while doing her job makes their interaction way better and the fact her attitude stays so cold actually improves the scenes
otoroshi_oni_35's avatar
otoroshi_oni_35
watching yamada deal with that testicular pain is genuinely stressful and it makes you understand why he has to put up with tachibana being so cold

the interaction between the two nurses felt like a real workplace drama, even if the reason they were talking was totally ridiculous
guru_guru_275's avatar
guru_guru_275
you really get the sense that this hospital is a complete mess and the way they just treat this bizarre condition like a standard procedure is hilarious
mikau_281's avatar
mikau_281
it was actually pretty funny seeing how much the hospital staff hates being there and I think it makes the comedy land better than if it was just pure fanservice all the time because the nurses just seem like they want a coffee break and for yamada to stop having his weird medical issues so they can go home and sleep
giorno_giovanna_197's avatar
giorno_giovanna_197
yamada trying to hold it in to not bother the staff was such a small detail but it made him way more likable than the usual lead
anju_272's avatar
anju_272
tachibana being so reluctant and moody about the treatment makes for such a weird dynamic when she actually starts doing her job
korok's avatar
korok
tachibana looking so tired of her job made the hospital setting feel way more real and you can tell she just wants her shift to end
rokurokubi_ronin_34's avatar
rokurokubi_ronin_34
the introduction of a new nurse really changed the energy in the room and it was interesting seeing how she handled yamada compared to tachibana

yamada really is going through it and I felt bad for him when he had to ask tachibana for help again because he looked so guilty about the whole thing
queen_nehelenia's avatar

I can't believe how much they focus on the actual hospital bureaucracy, because it makes the whole absurd situation with his hands feel strangely grounded

Tachibana is easily the best part of this, especially when she drops the moody act for a second to actually check if Yamada is doing okay.

It was a bit weird seeing them get so close by the end of the episode but I really liked how the art style stayed consistent throughout the whole scene in the hospital room

The medical logic in this show is totally ridiculous but the voice acting for Tachibana really carries the tension when she is trying to stay professional despite how awkward the whole situation is
maryrie's avatar

The way Tachibana finally stopped acting like she hated every second of the treatment was actually kind of sweet and the animation for that last scene in the ward looked way better than the first two episodes

sophocles_343
I felt so bad for Yamada when his hands were still in those casts but at least Tachibana is taking her job way more seriously now and seeing him finally get some peace was nice

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the 30% mark of the 10-episode run, Episode 3 is squarely in the series' establishment phase. Episodes 1 and 2 introduced Yamada's situation and Nurse Tachibana's role, and this episode likely deepens those dynamics or introduces an additional nurse character to expand the scenario roster. At this stage, the season has not yet reached its midpoint shifts, so expect consolidation rather than escalation.
