Tachibana is so mean to him and it makes the whole atmosphere in the room feel really tense

the art style actually looks pretty good for a pink pineapple production

The logic behind the three hour rule makes no sense, and the way she treats him is just cruel

that nurse really hates her job but she still does the treatment for him anyway

I feel so bad for Yamada because having both hands in casts like that while dealing with that timer is a total nightmare

Watching him struggle with that ridiculous three hour rule had me hooked because the stakes are just so weirdly high for a hospital show

The concept is totally bizarre, but Tachibana being so professional yet clearly annoyed makes for a very funny and weirdly compelling hospital interaction

Yamada trying to apologize while Tachibana just stares him down was the best part of the episode and it establishes their dynamic perfectly right from the start
katy_362's avatar
katy_362
The contrast between his desperate situation and her clinical coldness is such a specific vibe and it makes the awkwardness of the treatment scenes feel very real

The way Tachibana looks at him with pure disgust while doing her job is exactly what I wanted from this adaptation and her cold attitude makes the whole hospital setting feel way more intense

It is hard to take the testicular pain plot seriously when the nurse is being so mean to him but the animation quality is surprisingly decent for something with such a crazy name

That title is a lot to take in but the show leans into the medical drama side more than you would think and the three hour timer adds a lot of pressure

I have been following the manga for a while, so seeing the ward animated is pretty wild and the voice acting for Tachibana is perfect, plus the balance between the absurd medical condition and her sense of duty despite her hating the situation makes it stand out from other shows and the animation on the medical equipment was surprisingly detailed

Yamada having both hands in casts is such a ridiculous setup but it totally works for this premise and the look on his face when the pain starts is actually pretty convincing
atticus_358's avatar
atticus_358
The sheer panic on his face when he realized he could not move his hands stayed with me because those casts looked so heavy and restrictive
kappa_king's avatar

The art style looks really clean and Tachibana has such a distinct look even if she is acting like a jerk to him

sailor_tin_nyanko_392
Yamada feeling bad about the whole situation actually made me feel for him a bit because he just wants to get better. Tachibana is definitely not helping with that cold attitude and she seems like she would rather be anywhere else but she still does her job. The way they drew the characters was actually nice and I liked the designs.

This show leaning into the absurdity of the testicular pain condition is hilarious and Tachibana being so reluctant about her duties fits the mood

The premise is actually insane and seeing him deal with broken hands while that timer is ticking is just stressful

Tachibana is so mean and you can tell she hates being there which makes the whole hospital vibe so awkward

EPISODE CONTEXT

As Episode 1 of 10, this is pure foundation — nothing precedes it, and everything that follows builds on what's established here. The core relationship between Yamada and Nurse Tachibana is introduced in its most resistant, early-tension form, setting the trajectory for how their dynamic will evolve across the remaining nine episodes. Expect subsequent episodes to deepen character interactions and escalate the scenarios built from this premise.
