I really like how Kinji turns into a completely different person when he gets worked up and that hysteria mode is actually such a cool way to make him a badass

Watching those two argue while dodging bullets and explosions is exactly the kind of chaotic energy that makes these older shows so much fun to watch

That pink haired girl calling Kinji her slave the second they met is so wild and she is definitely going to be a lot to handle during these missions
marluxia_454's avatar
marluxia_454
aria being so determined to save everyone because of what happened ten years ago makes the ending of this episode feel a lot more impactful than expected

The way the succubus disease makes people lose their minds is actually kind of creepy, especially when you see the physical changes in the victims before Aria steps in
jinbe_juggernaut_91's avatar
jinbe_juggernaut_91
you really get to see how much of a threat these demons are when they almost overpower her during that struggle in the alleyway
eri_359's avatar

the monster designs in this episode are way more detailed than the pilot and aria looks even better in motion during those close up shots
magna_maestro_141's avatar
magna_maestro_141
seeing her use those exorcist tools while the music gets all heavy makes the whole sequence feel way more intense than a hentai has any right to be
tracey_sketchit_337's avatar
tracey_sketchit_337
my eyes were glued to the screen when she took on that huge group of infected people and didn't even break a sweat
yasutora_sado_493's avatar
yasutora_sado_493
I remember the first game this is based on and seeing Aria actually animated and doing her thing is pretty cool, the art style definitely captures that specific Ishikorodou look which I was worried they would mess up, but the animation is surprisingly fluid during the exorcism scenes and I just love how serious she acts while doing something so degenerate

i can't believe the cure for a demonic disease is literally just making them finish over and over because it makes the whole exorcism look so ridiculous
shion_secretary's avatar

that flashback of the nun saving aria when she was a kid really explains why she took this job and the animation for the monster transformation is pretty gross
hylian_286's avatar
hylian_286
Aria using those nun skills to stop the infection is actually wild and the way she handles the possessed guy had me staring at the screen
lillie_341's avatar
lillie_341
aria having to keep her composure while the infected were grabbing at her was the most stressful part and her final move with the cross was a strong finish
wanyudo_warrior's avatar
wanyudo_warrior
that shadowy figure watching aria from the rooftop at the end was a good hook and it makes the whole succubus outbreak feel way bigger even if some people might confuse this with the scarlet ammo show
gladion_352's avatar
gladion_352
The visual of the purple mist surrounding the victims was a nice touch, and Aria using the holy water to trigger the final part of the cure looked great
kumaru_yukihara's avatar
kumaru_yukihara
the transition from the creepy atmosphere in the church to the bright colors during the healing ritual looked cool and the music choice for that scene worked for me
blastoise_303's avatar
blastoise_303
that shot of the infected woman losing her mind before aria stepped in was scary and the way the disease is animated looks really fluid and gross
byakuya_blade's avatar
byakuya_blade
The street scene where the infection started spreading to multiple people at once really made the situation feel dire, and watching Aria have to work through them all was pretty wild. The art style stayed consistent throughout the episode and the way the succubus monsters are designed is actually quite unique for a show with this much fanservice
epona_265's avatar
epona_265
the animation during the exorcism scene was a bit choppy and the plot feels like it is just an excuse to show the nun outfit instead of actually telling a story

EPISODE CONTEXT

This is the second episode of the series, placing it early in the overall run and likely continuing directly from setups introduced in Episode 1. Without confirmed episode count data, it is unclear how far into the series arc this falls, but as a canon episode it contributes to the central narrative rather than diverting from it. It likely lays groundwork that subsequent episodes will build upon.
