I really did not expect the purification process to be that literal and seeing Aria get so serious about the protein pie delivery had me losing it

aria becoming a nun just to save people from lust monsters by giving them exactly what they want is the kind of logic only an anime could have

it is hard to take the succubus disease seriously when the only cure is just making the victims cum until they are fixed

Seeing Aria jump into action with that ridiculous exorcism method was wild, but the fight choreography before the fanservice started was actually pretty good.

the way the former nun saved aria in that flashback was surprisingly cool but everything after she grew up just turned into a total mess

my jaw hit the floor when aria started the treatment because the concept of an exorcist using pleasure to fight demons is just so stupidly funny

watching that infected monster turn back into a normal person after aria finished the job was definitely the highlight of this mess

aria finally putting on the nun outfit to fight the succubus disease felt like the start of the trashiest show this season and it made me laugh

It feels like a fever dream watching Aria use her nun training to help that infected guy by making him finish over and over. I was expecting something trashy but the way they explain the succubus disease is so ridiculous it actually made me laugh. The animation during the action parts is surprisingly decent even if the plot is just pure fanservice fodder.

I really did not expect that scene where Aria started the exorcism by making that guy finish like five times in a row it was so over the top and weird
nianzol_nihility's avatar

the logic behind curing a succubus curse by forcing them to cum is the most ridiculous thing ever and it makes no sense that this actually got an adaptation

seeing the way aria handles the protein shake purification was definitely a choice for a premiere and the visuals were surprisingly high quality

that opening scene with the monster attack really set the tone and aria jumping in to save people ten years later was cool to see

I really liked the flashback where the older nun saves young Aria from the monster because it set the stakes for why she wants to do this job, and even though the purification ritual is extremely suggestive the visuals are actually very fluid and polished. Sasha is a total jerk to everyone already but he makes the group dynamic feel a bit less generic.

mafuyu and tomo just feel like typical fan service characters so far but the way the succubus disease turns people into monsters is actually kind of a dark concept

aria switching to her default skin for that ritual was a lot more intense than a nun show usually gets but the animation looked really smooth during the purification part

the transformation sequence for the succubus disease looked pretty gnarly and aria did not hesitate at all when she had to jump into action
lille_xrays's avatar
lille_xrays
that intro scene where the nun saves little aria really explains why she grew up to be so dedicated to such a strange job

It felt really strange to me watching Aria deal with her past, while also doing the healing process on that random infected guy, and it fits the weird logic of this world

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the series opener, this episode carries the full weight of establishment — there is nothing preceding it, making it the sole foundation for every character relationship and thematic thread that follows. It introduces Aria, her divine stigmata, and the Succubus Plague conflict that will drive all subsequent encounters. What it sets up is a progressive deepening of the emotional and ethical stakes surrounding Aria's healing mission as the season continues.
