Secrets of the Silent Witch Episode 4: The Perfect Formula

This is such a great episode, as we get to see how capable Monica really is, and at the same time dig deeper into what this mission was really about. To be fair, I thought the mystery about this plotline would've hold out until half of the season, but this conclusion is good too. I do enjoy that they make sure the plot won't get stale by injecting more mystery too. The display of the magic is fun to see as well, I hope we'll be seeing more in the future. And please, I need to see more Isabelle, our cute little villainess!

The hype is fantastic! We got more on Monica's identity as the silent witch! From what people believe of her and her capabilities. Also, Cyril and Monica becoming buddies is pretty great!

This is the best episode so far. The pacing is super fast but doesn't feel rushed at all. The math-magic writing is clever, and seeing her finally show her real power makes the wait totally worth it. Plus, the visuals look incredibly clean, as always.

The art and animation of the magic sequences are truly superb. One thing that especially caught my attention was how the ice looked unnatural which perfectly fits since it was created through magic. The OST doesn't fall behind the quality of the art and animation, resulting in an incredibly beautiful and mind-blowing episode. This episode concludes the case that the student council has been handling since Ep 2. Monica once again did a great job and I'm looking forward to seeing what future endeavors await her.
