After the sales battle, Hakkon and his companions return to familiar surroundings. He finds comfort in the routine of dispensing drinks to the guards, appreciating the mundane peace. Yet, as days pass and his friends are busy, Hakkon admits to a growing sense of loneliness, reflecting on how quickly a year has passed in this new world.

Just as loneliness begins to settle, Lammis appears, eager to talk all night, dispelling Hakkon's sadness. He cannot refuse her charm. She leads him to her tent, where a large group of his friends bursts out, shouting 'Happy Birthday!' Hakkon is utterly surprised, his circuits almost short-circuiting with emotion.
