Chibiusa's Amusement Park Secret
The domestic peace of the Tsukino household shatters with Usagi's return, late from dinner with friends. Her brief moment of contentment is broken by the discovery that Chibiusa has called Mamoru, leading to a classic sibling squabble. The truth soon emerges: Chibiusa is going to the new Mugen Sea Park with Mamoru, a revelation that sends Usagi into a comical spiral of despair. This establishes the emotional stakes for Usagi, however petty, before the real dangers unfold.
Mamoru's Warning
Usagi's attempts to join Mamoru at Mugen Sea Park are quickly rebuffed, as Mamoru reminds her of their planned reconnaissance at Mugen Academy. His concern is clear; the amusement park lies within the dangerous Sankakusu area. With Luna and Artemis present, Mamoru details the geography of the reclaimed land, pinpointing Mugen Academy as the eerie heart of the district. He instructs them to use a communicator if anything goes awry, a sensible precaution that often signals impending trouble.
Kaolinite and the Witches 5
In a dark, mist-shrouded courtyard, Kaolinite stands over five kneeling figures, the Witches 5. She chastises Eudial for a 'failed creation' but then shifts to a more sinister purpose: finding the Master's lost relic. Summoning card images of the Sailor Guardians, Kaolinite declares them 'eyesore relics' and promises increased power and direct contact with Master Pharaoh 90 to whoever eradicates them. The Witches 5 react with eager anticipation, particularly at the mention of the Taioron Crystal. Kaolinite's final command, to gather 'host bodies' for their survival, underlines the chilling ruthlessness of their mission.
The Guardians at Mugen Academy
The Sailor Guardians arrive at Mugen Academy, a towering modern skyscraper reflecting the sun. Rei senses a powerful aura, and Ami's tablet shows distorted spatial density. Makoto notes an unnatural wind, a premonition of a coming storm, while Minako feels a familiar, unsettling gaze upon them. Faced with formidable security guards, Usagi volunteers to infiltrate the academy, much to the worry of her friends. Her confidence, though, is unwavering as she prepares her disguise.
Usagi's Bold Infiltration
With a confident 'Moon Power!', Usagi transforms into a Mugen Academy student, complete with a red blazer, plaid skirt, and glasses. She winks playfully at the audience before heading inside, leaving her worried friends behind. Inside, Usagi is awestruck by the academy's sixty-story grandeur but quickly finds nothing overtly suspicious. Her initial disappointment is cut short by the sound of a beautiful melody, drawing her deeper into the labyrinthine corridors.
Chibiusa, Hotaru, and the Lost Hat
Meanwhile, Chibiusa and Hotaru enjoy the roller coaster at Mugen Sea Park, while Mamoru babysits them, politely declining to join. Chibiusa's hat blows off, leading her away from the park and towards Mugen Academy. She finds her hat near the 'Tsuchimoe Research Institute', but then discovers Hotaru in distress, clutching her chest and crying. Mamoru, realizing Chibiusa is missing, frantically searches for her, unknowingly walking a path that parallels her dangerous detour.
Michiru's Melody and Haruka's Warning
Usagi, drawn by the haunting violin melody, discovers Michiru Kaioh playing serenely, surrounded by glowing orbs. The beautiful moment turns tense as Michiru's eyes snap open, revealing a piercing, cold gaze. She confronts Usagi, warning her about the danger of the place and that she will 'destroy herself.' Suddenly, Haruka Tenoh dramatically drops from the sky, echoing Michiru's warning and threatening the other Sailor Guardians to stay out of their affairs. Usagi is left shocked, realizing these mysterious figures might be enemies.
The Daimon's Appearance
Usagi, still in disguise, stumbles upon Chibiusa comforting Hotaru in a restricted hallway. Both Usagi's and Chibiusa's brooches react, confirming a spiritual presence. Suddenly, a dark, menacing Daimon materializes, emerging from a startled cat, lunging at them. Usagi and Chibiusa are forced to transform into Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon to defend themselves and Hotaru. Their combined declarations of justice echo through the newly active battleground.
Inner Guardians to the Rescue
As Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon face the Daimon, the rest of the Inner Guardians transform, joining the fray. Sailor Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus unleash their signature attacks, pummeling the monstrous Daimon. Sailor Mars's 'Burning Mandala' scorches it, Sailor Jupiter's 'Thunderbolt' electrocutes it, and Sailor Venus's 'Love-Me Chain' binds it. Finally, Sailor Moon's 'Moon Tiara Action' delivers the finishing blow, disintegrating the monster into glittering dust as Hotaru watches, stunned.
The Mysterious Departure
After the battle, Sailor Moon and the others realize the Daimon had possessed a cat, a chilling detail. Mamoru arrives, relieved the Guardians are safe. However, Hotaru, still distressed, rejects Sailor Chibi Moon's comfort, though a mysterious golden light emanating from Sailor Chibi Moon's hand instantly heals Hotaru's wounds. Above them, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune observe the scene, their expressions unreadable, before silently taking flight. Sailor Moon looks on, confused by their sudden appearance and even more sudden departure, leaving more questions than answers.
