Maybe because the 1st episode left such a good impression, 2nd episode inevitable paled in comparison. This episode mainly focused on world building so there was little progress so the plot. Definitely NOT skippable, but you might find it boring.

The time skip is here! Seeing Aqua and Ruby as teens navigating the industry is so interesting. Aqua’s cold, calculated vibe vs. Ruby’s idol dreams is such a good dynamic. The animation is still top-tier. Honestly, I’m loving the realistic look at show business. 10/10.

I see Ai's character being split in two between her children. This makes you excited to what both of them achieve career-wise and personal vendetta wise.

It settles into the real story. It’s slower, but so good seeing the twins grow up and navigate the industry. Definitely a must watch!

This episode has a compelling story that illustrates how Ruby aspires to be like her idol.

The vibes get colder immediately. Less glitter, more “oh this is about the game.” You can feel long-term plotting energy without anyone yelling about it.

Picking up from the last episode, Ep 2 continues smoothly as we see the world in Aqua’s shoes. Being dedicated to a single goal since childhood is something to be applauded, not just in fiction, but in real-life perspective too.

This episode explores more on the characters’ depths, how different they are in mindsets at this point in time, especially Miyako. She finally got a spotlight in this episode as she deserves, showing more of her maturity and competency.

The ending theme is as much of a banger as the opening theme! Good casting of artists, musically and artistically. Can we take the time to appreciate how the music videos give justice to the storyline as well?

Bothe Aqua & ruby playing their role perfectly in this episode, like Aqua investigate the industry to protect his sister. Ruby is also determined to become an idol, miyako Saito role is also good as supporting ruby's dream

Now the twins are both mid-schoolers, as expected, the girl wants to be an idol, and the guy wants to take revenge for Ai. The way they meet again Kana was also expected but gives a bit intro on Kana's background. Overall a bit slow pace but still good in continuing the storyline

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned as the first standard-length episode after the extended premiere, 'Third Option' functions as a critical pivot point—grounding the series in character dynamics after episode one's bombshell revelations and emotional gut punches. It establishes the diverging motivations of Ruby and Aqua that will fuel the rest of the season's narrative engine. The internal conflicts seeded here—ambition versus protection, dreams versus reality—become the throughlines that subsequent episodes build on as both siblings move deeper into the entertainment industry.
