Ebichu having no filter is the only reason to watch this show and she really ruined the mood for OL again. The slap was so loud and she deserves better

It is crazy how Ebichu has zero survival instincts and I laughed so hard when she made things awkward for Maakun and OL again

Maakun being a total loser is nothing new, but the way Ebichu exposes his private business to OL makes for the best cringe comedy. The poor lady needs a new man

I still cannot believe this is a real show and it feels like a fever dream. Seeing Maakun get so hyped over something gross was just typical for this bum

Maakun is the worst and it is hilarious to see Ebichu just call him out without any shame. That poor hamster gets beat up so much but she never stops talking

The way Maakun was looking at Ebichu made everything feel so uncomfortable and his breakdown over the laundry was pure dark comedy

This show is so messed up because watching a grown man get that excited over a hamster is just wrong and Maakun needs serious help
luxord_455's avatar

That ending where Maakun is crying while washing his pants is the most pathetic thing ever and Ebichu deserves a better friend than that creep

Maakun is a totally pathetic guy, but watching him have to scrub his own clothes in shame was a pretty funny ending to such a weird episode

I was genuinely concerned for Ebichu when Maakun got that excited, and seeing him cry over his laundry the next morning was the only thing that made it okay

The adult humor in this one is definitely a lot and Maakun is really taking his obsession with a pet way too far this time

My skin was literally crawling when Maakun started acting that way toward a literal hamster and the way he was crying while doing laundry made me laugh but I feel so dirty now

Maakun is a total freak and seeing him cry over his dirty laundry the next day was exactly what he deserved after being so weird toward Ebichu

I really do not know why I keep watching this show because Maakun is actually the creepiest person ever and seeing him get that worked up over a hamster was just too much for me to handle and I cannot believe he actually had to wash his own laundry and cry the next morning because of his own actions and it makes me feel so gross

Poor Ebichu has to deal with Maakun clearly losing his mind and those scenes with his underwear at the end were just nasty
neoxplode's avatar

It is genuinely impressive how Maakun can be so pathetic that he ends up weeping over washing his underpants and the way Ebichu just watches him is cold

Ebichu has absolutely no filter and hearing her talk about Maakun being excited was way more uncomfortable than it had any right to be

That moment where the owner lets the skirt sleep on her while she stays against the wall says everything about how twisted their relationship is

I was actually starting to feel bad for Maakun until he started crying over his laundry and it reminded me why this show is so messed up

Maakun crying while he washes his own underpants is the most pathetic and hilarious thing ever and seeing him that broken over his own laundry is just ridiculous

EPISODE CONTEXT

At episode 18 of 24, the series is deep into its final third and beginning to cycle more deliberately through its supporting cast — Maa-kun's spotlight here follows Episode 17's focus on Ebichu's wider social ripple effects. This episode builds out the ensemble dynamics that the remaining six episodes will lean on to carry the show home.
