I had to rewatch that part where the Tobi Roppo names flashed on the screen with that stylized art because the direction and colors were just on another level

When Zoro and Sanji started clearing out that Torii gate, I genuinely cheered out loud, it was so cool to see them just absolutely wipe the floor with those guys. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by how easily they handle things now, but it still gets me every time how powerful they've become.

Ulti is already my favorite member of the Flying Six because she has zero filter even when she is talking to Kaido. Her relationship with Page One is hilarious and adds some great flavor

Queen turned the whole island into a literal nightclub with those lasers and that rap and it made the Beast Pirates actually look like they know how to party before the war starts

The Straw Hats sharing that drink with Jinbe before Luffy decided to wait for the big party felt like a classic captain move and it really grounded the stakes for the raid

You can really tell the animation budget went crazy for that gate attack because the lighting on the Thousand Sunny looked better than most movies and Zoro just sliced those cannons like butter

You can tell things are getting serious when Luffy stops a party and those shots of the entire alliance fleet moving through the waves towards the giant skull were absolutely massive

The way they introduced the Tobi Roppo with that red lighting was stylish as hell and each of them looks so unique. You can already tell their personalities are going to be a total mess

Those Tobi Roppo members walking through that red lighting looked so intimidating and seeing them immediately start bickering with each other was a good way to show their personalities

Denjiro being completely stunned by the power of the Straw Hats was such a great perspective. Sometimes you forget how much of a force they are until a veteran warrior sees them in action

This episode looked like a literal movie, and Megumi Ishitani really is talented for how she handled the lighting and camera angles. I was genuinely blown away by the Straw Hats attacking the gate

Luffy pouring that sake straight into the ocean instead of downing it made me gasp a little; it wasn't just about commitment, it felt like a silent, unbreakable vow sealing their fate. I can see in his eyes that there's absolutely no turning back for any of them now against Kaido, and that just hyped me up even more.

That brief glimpse of the masked figure in the hallway was a nice touch for the manga readers, and it really built up the mystery around who Kaido's kid actually is

I really enjoyed how the Tobi Roppo were already bickering like a dysfunctional family because it makes them feel like actual people and not just another group of nameless villains for Luffy to punch

Watching the Straw Hats casually dismantle that gate while the samurai were still planning was hilarious, and it really shows the difference in how pirates handle business compared to soldiers

The quick glimpse of Yamato at the end was such a tease, but it really built up the hype for what happens once they reach the castle. Kaido looking bored while everything goes down was a great touch

The contrast between Queen throwing a massive rave and the Straw Hats quietly preparing for the raid was something else. Those Tobi Roppo bickering in their room made them feel like actual threats to me instead of just random bosses. The whole episode felt massive and I am so glad Jinbe is finally part of the squad for good

Queen having a massive music video in the middle of a war prep is the most One Piece thing ever. You have to love how high the production value was for a rap sequence

The look on the face of the guards when Zoro and Sanji started destroying the outpost was gold because they had no idea the actual monsters had finally arrived at their door

I was really struck by the direction in this one because the transitions between the loud party on Onigashima and the quiet resolve of the alliance fleet felt so smooth. Seeing Jinbe officially join the group, and then everyone deciding to hold off on the drinks until the war is actually over, gave the whole scene a lot of weight and purpose

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off the Straw Hats' explosive breach of Onigashima's torii gate, this episode shifts focus to the opposition, formally introducing the Tobi Roppo as the next major obstacle in the Wano raid. It serves as a critical bridge between the alliance's initial assault momentum and the layered confrontations that will define the Onigashima battle. The groundwork laid here — establishing the hierarchy and threat level within Kaidou's forces — directly feeds into the matchups and power dynamics that drive the arc forward.
