I spent so long wondering who was in that cell and seeing Kawamatsu finally step out into the light was so satisfying. Watching him spit those fish bones with enough force to take out guards was such a cool way to introduce his skills, and he looks like a powerhouse compared to those prison guards

You see those prisoners turning on Luffy because of the plague bullets and it just shows how cruel the Beast Pirates are for using a virus as a weapon. It was really dark to see

Big Mom fell asleep at the weirdest time and I cannot believe Queen actually managed to tie her up and ship her off. That guy is lucky he didn't get crushed into a pancake by her Haki

Kawamatsu being a literal kappa is a great design choice, and his fish bone move from the cell was a fun way to clear out the guards

I still cannot believe Big Mom just passed out like that right after getting her memories back and Queen really got the luckiest break of his life

This felt like a total breather episode and the art quality dipped so hard compared to the previous fight between Queen and Big Mom

Udon prison is starting to feel repetitive and the visuals for the plague rounds looked really basic for a show this big

Hyo explaining how to flow the Haki is interesting, even if Luffy is struggling to land the internal destruction punch on those armored guards

Luffy is still struggling with his training but the reveal of Kawamatsu stepping out from those shadows to save everyone was a great way to end the episode

Shipping Big Mom off to Onigashima in those chains was a smart move by Queen and it makes the stakes for the next meeting with Kaido feel way higher

The fact that the anime episode number actually hit the manga chapter number today is such a weirdly cool coincidence for the community

Queen taking down Big Mom with that headbutt was a huge moment even if she mostly just passed out from being hungry and my interest in him as a threat definitely went up

Big Mom getting her memory back just to fall asleep is the most Big Mom thing ever and Queen looked so relieved to tie her up

I have mixed feelings about Big Mom passing out from hunger right after that hit from Queen because it felt like a cheap way to end the fight but the mystery of Kawamatsu being a kappa is actually pretty cool and I want to see more of his fighting style now that the prison break is finally escalating

I could not stop smiling when Luffy said he had only been free for a minute and already decided he was taking over the entire place

Watching Queen shake while Big Mom was awake made it so obvious how much he feared her and the relief on his face when she fell asleep was hilarious

Babanuki and those plague rounds make Udon look like a nightmare and having the prisoners turn against Luffy was a brutal move by the guards

Kawamatsu appearing from the shadows to block those rounds was such a great way to introduce him and now the prison break is actually happening

I was so stressed for Queen because Big Mom is terrifying and seeing her get neutralized by a nap was such a massive relief for everyone in that room

Queen really lucked out with Big Mom falling asleep before things got even worse for him because he was shaking in his boots. Watching her get tied up and shipped off to Kaido is making me so nervous for what happens next when those two monsters meet face to face. Also that line from Luffy about taking over Udon was such a bold move that changed everything in the mine

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode falls deep within the Wano Country arc's second act, after Queen and Big Mom's chaotic prison encounter has reshaped the power dynamics and left Babanuki overseeing operations. Luffy's advanced Haki training is the central throughline here, representing a critical power-up phase before the rebellion can truly begin. It directly sets up the next stretch where Luffy and the Akazaya Samurai shift from endurance to active resistance against their captors.
