Luffy is finally back to full strength without those cuffs and it was so worth the wait even if the bathhouse scenes were mostly filler

Raizo sneaking around the prison and finding his old friend in the cell made me happy because it was a nice change of pace from the yelling in the yard

I actually liked that the pacing felt a bit better this week even if they didn't cover a whole chapter, but those still frames during the escape were distracting, and Queen throwing Luffy and Hyogoro into that sumo inferno is such a cruel move and it was cool seeing Raizo finally reach Kawamatsu and seeing his face more clearly than the manga

I noticed they showed more of Kawamatsu than the manga did and seeing Raizo find him finally made me feel like things are moving forward

Raizo sneaking around while the prison is in chaos was cool, and it looks like he might finally get Kawamatsu out of there

Those shots at the bathhouse are going to be all anyone talks about tomorrow because the animators really went all out on Nami and Robin this time

The way the anime stretched out those reaction shots of the prison staff while Luffy was running up the walls made the whole sequence feel like it dragged on forever

I think Queen is going to be one of my favorite villains because that dance routine was just so unexpected and fun to watch, and the whole Sumo Inferno idea is pretty brutal but it fits his flamboyant style perfectly and I really enjoyed how the episode balanced his goofiness with the actual threat he poses to Luffy and Hyogoro in that ring

Luffy knocked those guards out so easily even with the seastone cuffs on his wrists and that was definitely the coolest part of the whole escape attempt

I felt like the bathhouse segment took up way too much screen time and I just wanted to get back to Luffy fighting in the prison

That reunion between Raizo and Kawamatsu was a great moment, especially with the anime giving a better look at Kawamatsu than the source material did

Queen dancing around while setting up the Sumo Inferno had me so conflicted – like, this is supposed to be super serious for Luffy, but I just couldn't help but laugh at how absurd Queen is! He really finds the fun in everything, even when he's trying to off someone.

Did anyone else feel a bit bored by all the bathhouse scenes? I was practically yelling at my screen for them to get back to the prison storyline, which was way more gripping and what I was actually tuning in for.

Queen has such a big personality and his Funky Dance was the best way to introduce a new lead performer, even if the pacing felt a bit slow during the prison break

Everything changed once the sea stone was removed and Luffy got his power back to start the sumo inferno fight

Those sea stone cuffs coming off really made me happy because Luffy can finally use his rubber powers again to fight back

I can't believe Sanji finally got his dream of being invisible in a bathhouse thanks to that suit but Nami knocking everyone out with her happiness punch was much funnier

Watching the Sumo Inferno ring get set up was actually pretty cool because it makes the prison break feel so much more dangerous than before

Queen is such a weirdo and his dance makes that huge bounty feel even crazier

The title for this episode is such a lie because Luffy didn't even escape and we spent way too much time in the bathhouse doing nothing

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode directly follows Episode 930's introduction of Queen the Plague at the prison camp, escalating that threat as Luffy and Hyo's escape attempt puts them on a collision course with one of Kaido's most dangerous subordinates. It serves as a critical bridge in the Wano arc's prison storyline, building momentum toward Episode 932's 'Queen's Sumo Inferno,' where the fallout from this escape attempt takes a brutal new shape. The bathhouse subplot simultaneously advances the alliance's intelligence-gathering efforts, threading key information into the broader rebellion setup.
