Shutenmaru is way faster than he looks and Jack really found that out the hard way and he cut right through him while looking like he barely even tried

Wano is really starting to get intense now that Kaido decided to show up in the sky as a giant dragon. The way the weather just shifted, and the clouds turned dark, made the whole situation feel much heavier for Luffy and the others. Jack and Shutenmaru fighting was a good warm up but seeing that massive blue form in the clouds was terrifying

my brain actually short circuited when Kinemon explained Shutenmaru is actually Ashura Doji because it completely changes how I look at the bandits in this arc

the title is kind of weird because calling him the strongest in the world feels like a mistake, but watching him hold his own against Jack was still massive

Shutenmaru actually managed to draw blood from Jack, which is crazy since we saw how much of a monster Jack was back on Zou

I still can't believe Shutenmaru just sliced right through Jack like it was nothing because he looked like such a lazy bum at the start of the episode

it makes sense why Kinemon wants Ashura Doji so bad after seeing him trade blows with a lead performer like it was just another Tuesday

Kaido being a literal dragon is the most insane reveal this show has done in years and seeing the scale of him over the town was haunting

jack getting cut by shutenmaru was pretty surprising to see, and it shows that the samurai in wano are on a completely different level than everyone thought

the way the music changed when that giant blue dragon came out of the sky was perfect and it felt like a nightmare

Shutenmaru moved so fast for a guy his size and managed to tag Jack, which was incredible especially since Jack usually just tanks everything without flinching

Calling Shutenmaru the strongest man in the world in the title is just a weird translation that makes no sense and feels like clickbait

I feel like the anime dragged out some parts but the visual of Kaido filling the entire sky at the end made up for the slow start

everyone was just hanging out in Okobore Town until that massive dragon head poked through the sky and made the whole town feel like it was about to be erased

even if the manga reveal was different the anime really made the dragon transformation feel heavy and scary with all that lightning

My head was spinning when I saw the episode title because calling Shutenmaru the strongest in the world is a reach but the Jack fight was still cool

Jack finally met someone who didn't care about his bounty or his status and getting cut like that probably bruised his ego more than his chest

Wait, did the episode title *really* call Shutenmaru the strongest man in the world? I nearly spit out my drink when I saw that; like, how could anyone think that with Kaido and Whitebeard existing? It just threw me for a loop, what a weird mistake.

shutenmaru standing his ground and actually wounding jack was such a surprise, especially since jack is usually the one destroying things, but then that giant blue serpent appearing in the sky completely changed the mood and made everything before it feel small and it is weird that the title calls shutenmaru the strongest in the world though because that is a total translation error and confusing to people

that massive dragon head coming through the clouds at the end and everyone realizing it was Kaido the whole time was actually terrifying

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off Kin'emon's efforts to rally allies for the rebellion against Kaido, Episode 912 pivots to introduce Shutenmaru as a wildcard whose allegiance remains uncertain — a critical complication for the Straw Hats' plans. This episode functions as a bridge within the Wano arc's early phase, deepening the political web and establishing key players like Jack whose roles escalate in the episodes that follow. The groundwork laid here directly feeds into the alliance-building struggles and power confrontations that define Wano's middle stretch.
