Law looked so cool fighting Hawkins, even while he was trying to stay undercover with that hat, and I thought his tactical moves were exactly what the show needed right now

Holdem getting hit by that Red Hawk made me so happy after what he did to Otama and the animation for the fire looked incredible

The Red Hawk hit so hard and seeing Otama remember Ace while Luffy protected her really got to me because that punch was exactly what Holdem deserved

Jumping between Law and Luffy happened pretty fast and it felt like a lot happened even if some scenes were short and ended too quickly

Law totally cracked me up trying to play it cool and hide his identity from Hawkins; it's so classic him, like he's genuinely embarrassed to be seen. I just love how he keeps up the charade even though everyone, myself included, knows exactly who he is by now.

Zoro just casually stealing a whole food truck while the town is in chaos is the most Zoro thing ever and it made the scene feel very classic

Luffy calling Speed a horse and just jumping on her back was the exact kind of dumb humor this arc needs and it made the whole rescue mission better

law and hawkins clashing was the highlight this week and seeing law get serious while the music kicked in felt cool

The pacing felt a little slow in the middle sections, but the visuals during Law's attacks totally made up for it

Law really is a complete dork for wearing that hat while his literal tattoos are visible to everyone around him, and it made me laugh so hard when Hawkins called him out. I also really liked seeing Luffy trying to ride Speed while she was resisting because it was such a classic Luffy moment that felt right for the comedy in Wano

Law basically just told Hawkins exactly who he is and didn't even care because he knew he could take him anyway

Otama feeding that dango to Speed is a huge deal for the future because Kaido has so many of those SMILE users in his army

I am still laughing at Luffy struggling to stay on Speed and then he just starts running with her like it is normal

Zoro rolling up with a food truck is the most Zoro thing ever and the comedy with Luffy trying to ride Speed was hilarious

Otama's face, seeing Ace instead of Luffy, just broke me a little, and it’s crazy how much that single look conveyed all her lingering grief. I felt a real mix of sadness for her and a bit of hope that Luffy can maybe, in some way, fill that void for her, even if he never truly replaces Ace.

I feel like the recap and the intro take up half the episode sometimes but at least the animation for the Law and Hawkins fight was really fluid and sharp

Hawkins confronting Law felt like a real test of Law's composure; I couldn't believe he managed to keep his cool and hide his face with a Yonko commander right there. The whole exchange was such a smart, tense back-and-forth, and I was genuinely worried for him the entire time.

Wano is moving along well now and seeing Law and Zoro and Luffy all making moves at the same time makes the scale of the conflict feel much bigger

sheik_263
Hawkins having those voodoo dolls to take his hits is such a cheap way to fight but it makes it so much more satisfying when Law finds a way around it

Luffy having that same intense look in his eyes that Ace used to have while protecting Otama was a huge highlight and he is such a good guardian for her

EPISODE CONTEXT

Picking up directly after Luffy's decisive takedown of Holed'em, Episode 906 shifts focus from brute-force victories to the strategic chess match unfolding across Wano Country. Law's confrontation with Hawkins deepens the web of alliances and rivalries that will define the arc's larger power struggles. This episode lays critical groundwork for the trust dynamics and tactical positioning that become essential as the Straw Hats push deeper into enemy territory.
