My head was spinning when Fujitora lifted that entire city worth of rubble into the sky. The scale of his power is terrifying and I really thought the Straw Hats were done for

It feels so different seeing an Admiral call out his moves before he strikes, even when I know he has the advantage with that gravity power. It makes Fujitora feel more honorable than any marine I have seen

I cannot believe Fujitora thinks he is doing Luffy a favor by trying to kill him before Kaido gets the chance. That logic is so twisted but it makes sense for an Admiral in this crazy world

I think my heart actually melted during that monologue because Fujitora is such a different kind of marine and hearing him regret his blindness just to see a pirate was insane and then seeing all those different crews offer their lives to Luffy made me realize how big this world is getting now and the scale is just crazy

i legit got chills when bartolomeo and cavendish started shouting about forming a fleet and the colors in that final scene were incredible

fujitora gambling on luffy one last time and that monologue about the light coming through the debris really showed how much he respects luffy

it really moved me when fujitora realized he couldn't drop the rubble because the people were actually protecting the pirates he was supposed to be arresting

the fleet announcement with all those different captains standing on the deck together felt like a massive shift for luffy and the crew

The pacing felt a little slow at times during the walk to the coast, but the payoff with the citizens and that fleet reveal made the wait worth it.

all that rubble floating over the harbor while the people of dressrosa ran to save their heroes was a massive payoff for this whole arc

The music while the captains were giving their speech was perfect and it really made the whole scene feel like a massive turning point for the story
piko_pixel's avatar

It makes so much sense for Fujitora to let them go after the citizens stepped in and it is cool how he sticks to his own values despite his job

Fujitora just standing there, listening to all those Dressrosa citizens lie through their teeth for Luffy, seriously got to me. It made me realize just how much of a legend he's become in their eyes, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going through his head, watching that massive cloud of debris hang over them, knowing the truth but powerless against such overwhelming loyalty. That whole scene deepened my understanding of his complicated sense of justice.

That moment when Fujitora regretted his blindness because he wanted to see Luffys face really landed, especially with the music playing in the background.

those citizens pretending they were chasing luffy just to stop the admiral from dropping an entire mountain of junk on the straw hats was a great moment

The ending really got to me because seeing all those different crews come together to follow Luffy felt like a massive shift for the story. The animation during the fleet announcement was actually stunning and I loved the way they used those bright colors to make everyone stand out while they declared their loyalty on the ship.

All those gladiators asking to follow Luffy is such a huge shift for the crew and it feels like things are finally getting serious for the next part of the ocean

I still cannot get over Fujitora saying he blinded himself too early and hearing him say that Luffy has a kind face was such a big moment

The pacing was a bit slow today but the ending with everyone wanting to join the fleet made up for it because it finally feels like the straw hats are big players

Fujitora dropping a whole sky of rubble while still being the nicest guy in the room is just such a wild contrast

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode lands in the final stretch of the Dressrosa arc, directly following Luffy's bold confrontation with Fujitora, and shifts the focus from victory to survival as the crew races to leave the island. It serves as a crucial transitional point, wrapping up lingering threads from the Doflamingo conflict while planting the seeds for new alliances that will reshape the Straw Hats' standing in the larger world. What happens here sets the stage for one of the most significant power shifts in the crew's journey going forward.
