Dragon casually mentioning Luffy is his son was hilarious and it is wild seeing Sabo trade blows with Kuma when he was just a kid

I can't imagine the sheer, gut-wrenching horror Sabo must've felt when that newspaper clipping finally unlocked his memories. It wasn't just remembering Ace; it was the agony of realizing he'd been gone all this time and he hadn't even known, which completely shattered me for him.

I felt sick seeing Sabo wake up and remember everything right after Ace died because the timing of that memory returning is pure cruelty

Sabo finally getting his memories back was already huge, but my stomach dropped when it hit me he was also just then learning Ace was gone. I can't even imagine that kind of delayed grief, and him reaching for his pipe felt like a desperate attempt to hold onto anything from that shared childhood they had.

I really think Dragon has some kind of wind or weather power based on how he saved Sabo from that wreck

It is funny how Bartolomeo and Cavendish are basically a comedy duo now, especially when everyone else is still trying to recover from the war.

Dragon saving Sabo from the wreckage and bringing him to the Revolutionary Army feels like a legendary start for him

Franky literally using a screwdriver to fix his own face during the recovery scenes had me laughing so hard

Okay, but when I realized Robin knew about Sabo and just sat on that information, it really got me thinking about her past, you know? She's always been so used to keeping secrets and protecting herself, so I get why she wouldn't just blurt it out, but still, *that* big of a secret is wild.

The panic attack Sabo had when his memories returned was devastating and seeing him realize he missed everything with Ace makes his comeback feel so much more heavy

Watching Sabo get his memories back was a total gut punch and I hate that he had to find out about Ace through a newspaper like that. It makes his training with the Revolutionary Army feel way more meaningful though since we finally see how he became such a monster in combat. I am still kind of weirded out that Robin never mentioned him.

Even if people call this filler it was cool seeing Ivankov and Hack interact while Sabo was growing up

The training montages showed Sabo was already a beast at seventeen and his Haki mastery makes total sense now

Sabo taking on Kuma and Dragon as a kid is actually wild and explains why he turned out so strong

Robin keeping that Sabo secret from Luffy for so long is such a Robin thing to do and it feels like she really respected his privacy about the whole situation

Oda adding those extra details about Sabo training with the revolutionaries was a great choice and it fills in so many gaps about where he has been all these years

Sabo waking up with amnesia after the Celestial Dragon attacked him was so sad and seeing Dragon save him twice makes their bond feel way more important than before

That moment when the amnesia finally broke and Sabo realized he lost Ace was a total gut punch and you can really feel how much regret he had in that scream

Seeing Sabo use Haki as a little kid actually surprised me, because it really puts into perspective how his early strength might have even surpassed what Ace could do back then

I actually forgot how much Sabo went through with the Revolutionary Army and seeing his training with Dragon and Kuma made me realize how strong he was even as a kid, plus the way his memories finally snapped back when he saw Ace in the news was just brutal to watch because he lost so many years of their lives together

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode lands in the aftermath of Dressrosa's climactic confrontations, serving as a necessary exhale between the arc's peak action and the transitions ahead. The preceding episodes delivered high-stakes battles against Doflamingo and his officers, making this character-focused breather a deliberate pacing choice. By fleshing out Sabo's Revolutionary Army background, it enriches the groundwork for future storylines while reinforcing the emotional stakes that will carry forward.
