Doflamingo just will not quit. The pacing is starting to drag with all these random people standing in the way of a guy who should have been finished by now

When Sabo used that Flame Dragon King move it was over for Burgess, and it was such a necessary moment since Doflamingo won't just stay down and die already

Dressrosa citizens and those random coliseum fighters standing up to Doflamingo feels a bit desperate but it shows how much Luffy changed that island during this fight

The ten minutes thing feels like it is going to take five episodes to actually pass. Seeing the gladiators and Gyats risk it all for Luffy was pretty cool

I can't believe how much health Doflamingo still has left. It is stressing me out watching everyone try to hide Luffy while he recharges his Haki

My heart stopped when Burgess almost got to Luffy and Sabo just dropping in to save his brother made me so hyped

Sabo showing up to blast Burgess was exactly what needed to happen because Luffy looked completely finished after Gear Fourth and Doflamingo is just refusing to go down at this point

Doflamingo just will not stay down even after all that damage and seeing him use the awakening to fix his insides is actually terrifying

I was genuinely scared for Luffy when he went limp after Gear Fourth wore off but then Sabo came through with that massive fire attack to keep him safe

Burgess almost had Luffy right where he wanted him but then Sabo blasted him away with that Flame Dragon King strike

I really felt the relief when Sabo dropped in to kick Burgess in the face because Luffy was looking so helpless on the ground there

Sabo's Flame Dragon King attack was absolutely insane, I practically jumped out of my seat! He definitely proved himself as the revolutionary army's second in command there, making me wonder if he's even stronger than Ace was.

It is wild that we have to wait ten minutes for Haki to come back and the way they are stretching this out makes the tension feel a bit forced

Burgess trying to steal the fruit right off Luffy while he was out cold was a dirty move and Sabo arrived at the perfect time to stop him

It really got me when Gyats was screaming about Lucy because he still believes in him even when the whole city is basically falling apart around them

Seriously, that ten-minute countdown felt like an actual hour, and I totally got Namek flashbacks just waiting for something, *anything* to happen. My excitement for the finale was definitely flagging because the episode kept dragging its feet, I just wanted to get to the action already!

I felt such a huge weight lift off my shoulders when Sabo stepped in to save Luffy from Burgess because it felt like Ace was right there standing behind him and it was so emotional
glenn_radars's avatar

Doflamingo walking through the city while everyone is screaming is pure nightmare fuel and Luffy is completely out of juice and the birdcage is still closing in so the tension is crazy high

Thinking back to Marineford made Sabo showing up even better, and his fire powers are just as cool as the ones Ace used to have

The ten minute wait for Luffy to get his Haki back is stressing me out so much and I keep thinking about how Burgess almost killed him while he was just lying there helpless on the ground

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode follows directly from Luffy's grueling battle with Doflamingo in Dressrosa, shifting the spotlight to the allied forces who must hold the line while Luffy recovers. It deepens the collaborative dynamic between the Straw Hats, Sabo, and the gladiators that has been building throughout the arc. The stage is being set for the final collective push against Doflamingo's regime, making this a critical bridge between Luffy's exhaustion and the climactic resolution of the Dressrosa conflict.
