Seeing Rebecca stumble into Diamante in that flower field was a total nightmare and you can tell she is absolutely terrified to face the guy who killed her mother

Luffy just has this magnetic pull, doesn't he? I got chills watching all those gladiators, who were ready to tear each other apart just moments ago, suddenly put all their trust in him as their last hope. It really hammered home what Robin said about him being the one everyone ends up betting on.

I got a kick out of Sabo having a blast fighting an admiral because it shows he is definitely on that level and not afraid of anyone

Bartolomeo's absolute meltdown after Luffy just said 'thanks' made me snort; it was such a genuine, adorable moment that totally captured his fanboy heart. Seriously though, I thought that barrier staircase was a genius move, proving itself super useful for navigating that crazy climb.

Bartolomeo is my hero for using his barriers as a literal staircase for Luffy and his fanboying over the Straw Hats is the best thing about this whole run up the plateau

The exchange between fire and gravity looked so much cleaner than the rest of the arc so far and it made the encounter with Fujitora feel much more intense

Bartolomeo is basically all of us because that staircase move for Luffy was so cool and he just loves the Straw Hats so much

I was caught off guard by Fujitora using horizontal gravity against Sabo and it makes me wonder if the admiral is actually trying to win or just testing him

robin calling luffy the winning trump card was such a cool moment and it really shows how much the straw hats trust their captain to win

Okay, so I was really cracking up at that barrier staircase Luffy used to get up to Doflamingo, talk about an unconventional climb! And then Bartolomeo, bless his heart, completely lost it when Luffy actually thanked him, it's so clear he just lives for that kind of validation from his idol, haha.

fujitora is clearly not trying his hardest against sabo and it makes you wonder what his actual plan for the warlords is in the end

Bartolomeo is definitely the standout of the week because his barrier staircase was such a clever use of his fruit, and his reaction to Luffy was hilarious. The fight between Sabo and Fujitora is also getting really interesting, especially with that horizontal gravity reveal. It makes you wonder what Fujitora is actually thinking while he holds back against the revolutionaries

the way the camera moves during the sabo and fujitora clash is actually crazy, and you can really feel the power behind every fire attack

Fujitora throwing down with Sabo was the first time in a while the animation felt really sharp, even if the pacing of the stair climbing is still dragging things out way too much

I actually loved seeing Sabo trade blows with Fujitora because that horizontal gravity move looked so cool and it feels like Sabo is actually a match for an admiral

Bartolomeo keeping those barriers up while crying over how cool Luffy is was definitely his highlight and he really saved them a lot of time on the climb

The pacing with those stairs felt so slow and seeing Luffy run up that barrier for half the episode is starting to get a bit annoying when things are heating up elsewhere

You have to laugh at Law just looking completely dead inside while being carried around like a piece of luggage because his serious face makes the whole situation ten times funnier

That head spin move between Franky and Señor Pink came out of nowhere and it is easily one of the strangest things to happen during this entire battle on the plateau

I am honestly just here for the pure chaos of Franky and Señor Pink spinning on their heads for absolutely no reason because it was so random and weird. It made me laugh after sitting through another twenty minutes of everyone just running up those same stairs again and I really hope the pacing picks up soon because the Sabo animation was actually great

EPISODE CONTEXT

Picking up directly from Episode 694's desperate struggle against the Headcracker Dolls, this episode shifts focus to the allied fighters' coordinated effort to clear Luffy's path toward the arc's central confrontation in Dressrosa. It serves as a critical bridge episode — the chaos is organized into purpose, with multiple factions committing fully to the endgame strategy. This sets the stage for the decisive battles ahead as Dressrosa's power structure faces its greatest threat.
