usopp looking absolutely terrified of sugar coming back caught my attention because it reminds me how dangerous her power actually is to the whole crew

Everything felt slow until Sugar woke up, and now the threat of her turning Luffy into a toy is terrifying

Usopp's absolute breakdown as Sugar slowly stirred had me simultaneously cracking up and bracing for impact. It's wild how his total panic was the only thing keeping the tension sky-high, considering Luffy and Law were still cluelessly strolling into trouble. I just knew this was gonna be a classic, chaotic One Piece moment, and I couldn't look away from my screen.

The animation is all over the place this week, and the artists definitely spent more time on the fanservice than making the nutcracker dolls look decent

Seriously, I'm getting so antsy with these endless nutcracker dolls; it feels like we've been running around this level of the palace forever. That's why when Sugar finally woke up, my stomach actually flipped, knowing Luffy's completely out of it and only Usopp truly sees the mess they're in. This whole situation just makes me want Usopp to pull through and save the day even more.

i am just waiting for rebecca to finally get that key to law because seeing him get carried around while he is completely useless is starting to get old

robin standing her ground against gladius shows she is not playing around this time and barto helping her out is a great team up

the tontatta tribe feels like filler and they just clutter the screen whenever the action should be focusing on the actual straw hat fights

these giant dolls are taking up way too much time and the story is barely moving and they make the whole dressrosa arc feel like a crawl

My heart sank when Robin and Bartolomeo got blasted out of the sky by those spheres and ended up surrounded by those creepy nutcracker things

Gladius using his powers on Robin and Bartolomeo was a cool sequence but Luffy getting stuck fighting those weird dolls that just keep putting themselves back together is getting a bit old

Lao G and Chinjao having that quick fight was a really cool moment and Bartolomeo being his usual weird self always manages to get a laugh during the serious parts

Law being carried around while he is completely flopped over like a sack of potatoes is hilarious. His face is so serious but the situation is just pure comedy and it makes the staircase scenes better

Watching the dolls rebuild themselves over and over is pretty creepy and it makes the situation for Luffy feel way more annoying than a regular fight

Gosh, the pacing this arc is really getting to me; I just wanna see some real action instead of these endless staircase runs. The Tontatta scenes are definitely stretching things out, and I'm just getting antsy for the big showdown. But hey, at least Robin and Bartolomeo teaming up to take on those creepy dolls was a moment I was actually cheering for!

Those nutcracker dolls are actually pretty creepy and I like how they are handled. Robin and Bartolomeo getting thrown into that mess adds some actual stakes to all the running around everyone is doing

I am honestly getting a bit tired of the pacing in Dressrosa because this episode barely moved the needle at all and the Tontattas are taking up way too much screen time and they just feel like annoying filler characters, but at least Gladius is interesting to watch and his explosions were the only thing that kept me focused while Rebecca was running
light_yagami_112's avatar

Those tiny Tontattas are basically the Ewoks of One Piece and they really mess up the flow of the action whenever the show cuts back to them

Robin stepping up against Gladius while everyone else is busy was a great move. She stays so calm even when things are exploding everywhere and Bartolomeo being a total fanboy is still funny

It is so cool how the Straw Hats always believe in Luffy no matter how crazy things look. Their bond is just different from every other crew in the sea and it shows here

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode follows the rescue-focused events of Episode 693 involving Princess Mansherry and pivots squarely into escalating combat as the crew advances through the Royal Palace. It serves as a critical bridge in the Dressrosa arc, establishing the Headcracker Dolls as a major tactical obstacle while positioning the Straw Hats for the larger confrontations still ahead. The alliances and momentum built here feed directly into the arc's climactic push toward Doflamingo.
