I got so stressed seeing Sanji get caught in those strings because he really had no chance against Doflamingo and Law saved him just in time

Doflamingo floating in the air and catching Sanji with those strings was scary but the scenes on the ship dragged out and I wanted more of the actual fight

Doflamingo is a total monster for how he stopped Sanji mid air and barely even broke a sweat while threatening to destroy the whole ship with one flaming string

Sanji tried his best but it felt bad seeing his kicks do zero damage to Doflamingo and then getting stuck in the air like a puppet while everyone on the Sunny watched

Law swapping places with the air to save Sanji was a huge move and the music that played when he stood his ground against Doflamingo sounded so cool

Sanji went all out on Doflamingo, but that creepy grin and the fact his attacks did absolutely nothing to those ridiculous pink feathers just made my stomach drop. I was really hoping for *something* to land, but nope, Doffy's just built different, huh?

Hearing Law explain the plan to use Kaido against Doflamingo made the stakes feel massive, and it explains why he looks so stressed out every time he sees a straw hat do something stupid.

I honestly got so stressed out when Law started talking about his plan to take down Kaido because he seems way too obsessed with Doflamingo to actually survive this fight, and seeing Sanji get completely stopped in his tracks by those invisible strings really hammered home how high the stakes are for the crew in Dressrosa right now

Building getting sliced by the whip looked really weird and distracted from the fight and the scenes with Bartolomeo and Zoro felt like they took way too long

I can't get over Law appearing out of nowhere and swapping Sanji with a piece of wood and his plan to use a Yonko for revenge is actually terrifying

Law really showed how much he has been thinking ahead by explaining that his goal is getting Kaido to destroy Doflamingo and the animation for Sanji using his fire kicks without that weird spinning was a great change. It was hard to see Sanji lose so fast but he bought enough time for the crew to escape while Doflamingo was distracted

Sanji jumping in to save the ship really impressed me and then Law appeared to block that massive attack from Doflamingo

Doflamingo using the clouds to fly is a really interesting detail and Sanji getting called tough by a guy that strong was huge

Doflamingo has such an evil smile and the way he just toyed with Sanji in the air showed how dangerous the warlords really are

A giant marine ship floating in the sky while Fujitora calls down space rocks is a lot to process and it makes the whole situation on the Sunny feel impossible

Law seriously blew my mind with his crazy scheme to pit Kaido against Doflamingo; that's just wild, and I'm honestly wondering if he's bitten off more than he can chew. Rebecca holding her own in the coliseum was impressive, but my thoughts kept going back to how that whole Kaido plan could actually work.

You have to respect how Law just stepped in and took control of the situation against Doflamingo after the Straw Hats almost lost their cook in a single move

Law swapping Sanji out for that log at the last second was such a relief for me and the way he talked about the alliance ending was actually really cold

My jaw literally dropped when Fujitora just casually dropped a whole meteor while still slurping his ramen, like it was no big deal at all. I have to wonder how someone can be so completely chill about that level of power, almost as if the massive destruction he causes doesn't even register for him.

Doflamingo is so terrifying when he just hovers there in the sky and Sanji really has guts for jumping right into that fight even when he was clearly outmatched

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned deep within the Dressrosa arc, Episode 655 escalates directly from the Straw Hats' battle against Giolla in Episode 654, raising the stakes by throwing Sanji into direct conflict with Doflamingo himself. This confrontation underscores just how outmatched the crew can be against a Warlord of this caliber, setting critical context for the power dynamics that define the rest of the arc. The episode serves as a bridge between early Dressrosa skirmishes and the larger, more complex battles to come.
