I felt so bad for Rebecca with the crowd booing her and Cavendish yelling at everyone to shut up was so great and her fighting style of just knocking people out of the ring without actually hurting them is pretty cool and I want to see if she can keep that up against the stronger fighters later because she is a pacifist

The pacing in Dressrosa is starting to crawl and those scenes with Zoro and Sanji felt like they took forever to get nowhere

Law got absolutely wrecked by Doflamingo, and he only survived because Fujitora decided to step in and stop the finishing blow

Seeing everyone in that stadium scream at Rebecca for something her grandpa did made me feel really bad for her

Those weirdly drawn eyes on Law during the fight really distracted from the action and the animation felt a bit off

Doflamingo looks like a total monster standing next to Law and the Admiral

I feel so bad for Rebecca because those people in the crowd are being total jerks to her and it makes me glad Cavendish finally told them to shut their mouths

I really felt for Rebecca when the crowd started screaming and Cavendish shut them down so fast

Watching Law get pinned down by those strings and captured by Doflamingo was stressful and it is hard to see how he gets out of this one

Animation was kind of messy with the helmet glitching and the crowd looking weird but the fights were decent

Those brief glimpses of the top executives like Pica and Trebol look pretty interesting and their designs are definitely unique

I actually like Cavendish now after he told that crowd to shut up and stop bullying Rebecca because he was hilarious and cool

Doflamingo is terrifying and he would have ended Law right then and there if the admiral didn't get in the way

Sanji and Zoro were just running through the streets for so long, and it really slowed down the whole episode

It felt like a total gut punch when Doflamingo finally caught Law with his strings and I am genuinely worried about what happens next

The animation for the Law and Doflamingo confrontation looked decent but the crowd shots in the stadium were definitely looking a bit rough

Rebecca just dodging everyone in the ring is a weird way to fight and it definitely looks like it will backfire against stronger people

Block D is finally starting and seeing all those fighters in the ring together looks like it will be intense

I have mixed feelings about this one because the stuff with Law and Doflamingo is so intense, and then it just cuts to Sanji and Zoro running around for way too long. It really kills the momentum when you want to see Block D start but have to sit through side characters wandering through the city instead of the action

My heart broke for Rebecca when she remembered her mom and that little toy soldier

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting deep within the Dressrosa arc, Episode 652 follows directly from Episode 651's exploration of Rebecca's backstory and her emotional ties to the Toy Soldier, now channeling that setup into arena action. This episode launches Block D's battle royale, the final and most volatile round of the Corrida Colosseum tournament, escalating toward pivotal confrontations and political revelations that will reshape the Dressrosa conflict. It's a transitional episode that converts character groundwork into forward momentum.
