The fight with Shuzo was fine but the bazooka llama was definitely the highlight because of how absurd it looked on screen and the whole concept is just pure chaos

You really have to turn your brain off for this one because a llama bazooka is just too much to handle even for this show and the logic is completely out the window

I am still trying to process the fact that Shuzo has a bazooka that ate an alpaca fruit and it is actually fighting back because that is the weirdest thing I have seen in a filler arc

I actually liked seeing Lily turn into a giant inside Luffy, and the way he just puffed out like a parade float was the most ridiculous thing I've seen in a long time

Watching Lily try to expand inside Luffy only for him to just stretch like a balloon was hilarious and weirdly gross at the same time and it really shows how random these movie tie-in episodes get

Giant Luffy was the most ridiculous thing ever and having a tiny girl expand inside him to fight a guy with a bazooka arm is pure One Piece weirdness

I thought Shuzo actually looked pretty tough for a filler villain and seeing his haki clash with Luffy was a cool moment for me because it made the Neo Navy seem like a real threat

That Z cameo at the very end of the episode was a great payoff because it makes the whole Shuzo mess worth sitting through and seeing the man himself finally appear was the best way to end the arc

Shuzo calling himself a genius while his own subordinates are accidentally blowing themselves up on the scenery was easily the funniest part of the episode

Shuzo wasting his own men like that makes him a terrible leader and i felt bad for those guys

Shuzo was a bit of a letdown as a villain, but that final teaser for Z at the end really saved the momentum of the arc

i felt so annoyed watching Luffy struggle against Shuzo when he should be way stronger after his training

it was funny to see Luffy turn into a giant, but why did he forget how to use Haki for this whole fight

seeing Z at the end was the only part that felt important because the rest of this filler arc was a mess
yami_yamato_140's avatar
yami_yamato_140
Luffy struggled way too much against Shuzo and it makes the two years of training feel pointless if a random filler villain can take Haki hits that easily

Shuzo getting wrecked by a giant rubber man made that whole fight worth watching because it reminded everyone of how ridiculous the early seasons used to feel

I dont know how Gear Second even works with a tiny giant inside his veins but I was laughing too hard at Giant Luffy to actually care about the logic

It felt a bit weird seeing Luffy struggle with Haki against a filler villain like Shuzo but having him turn into a massive giant helped overlook the power scaling issues

Having Lily help Luffy turn into a giant was the kind of goofy power up that makes these filler arcs worth sitting through even if the fight dragged a bit

Luffy used Gear Second while Lily was still inside him and that seems like it would be biologically impossible or at least extremely painful for her

EPISODE CONTEXT

This is the fourth and final episode of the filler 'Z's Ambition' arc that began at Episode 575, serving as a promotional tie-in to One Piece Film: Z. It wraps up the Shuzo conflict decisively and clears the runway for Episode 579, which launches the canon Punk Hazard arc—the Straw Hats' first major New World storyline.
