It is weird seeing Momonga show up in filler when he feels like such a big deal in the actual story and you wonder why he is still just a vice admiral

I loved seeing Zoro run up the side of that ship like it was nothing because his leg strength is just insane now

I think that alpaca cannon is the weirdest thing in this show so far and I love it Shuzo is kind of a jerk for making a pet do that but Alpacacino looks cool

Seeing how fast Robin takes out those soldiers while everyone else tries to be sneaky was intense because she just paralyzes them or breaks their necks and keeps on walking

Luffy walking away from the diversion group because he thought it was boring and Nami getting so mad at him made me laugh because it is just such a classic move for him to ignore a plan

I find Robin genuinely terrifying with how casually she breaks people and those sound effects always make me wince a little bit

Okay, my jaw literally dropped watching Robin just casually snap everyone's necks during that diversion; she absolutely wasn't messing around, and it really solidified for me how terrifyingly efficient she can be when the crew's mission is on the line.

I usually skip filler, but this one actually felt important because it connects to the movie and the animation was way better than I expected. The Neo Marines seem intense since they want to kill every pirate they see and Shuzo is a creep, but he has an alpaca that is a gun which is just classic One Piece weirdness and I love it

The neo marines look exactly like a certain historical group and the helmets make it so obvious they are the bad guys

The animation for the Zoro and Momonga clash was surprisingly good and their swords hitting each other looked so sharp

Sanji using sky walk to kick those guys in the air looked so smooth and the production quality felt higher than usual filler

This technically counts as filler but it really feels like it matters because of how it ties into the movie and the introduction of Z. Seeing Momonga again was a nice touch, and his reaction to the Neo Marines makes me think the actual film is going to be pretty heavy if even the top Marines are this scared of them

I was impressed by Zoro actually clashing with Momonga even if it was just for a second, and that whole sequence of him holding his own against a vice admiral felt like a big deal

Shuzo and his group are terrifying because they think the actual Navy is too weak and they are just going to wipe everyone out

Hearing Shuzo say that Akainu is too soft for his taste is such a wild statement to make, especially considering how much of a monster the Fleet Admiral is. These Neo Marines are clearly on another level of crazy

Watching Luffy ditch the plan for food and Panz Fry is so on brand for him and it makes it hard to be mad even if Nami is screaming

Momonga getting so shaken up just by hearing the name Z really sets the tone for how dangerous this new group is and it makes the Neo Marines feel like a huge threat

Shuzo is a total psycho for thinking the regular marines are too soft and wanting to wipe out every single pirate on the sea

Sanji using Sky Walk was so cool and the way Zoro sliced through those massive chains looked incredibly smooth for a filler episode

I felt a bit bad for those marines because Robin was just snapping bones left and right with her powers

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 576 is the second installment of the 'Z's Ambition' filler arc, picking up directly after Episode 575's introduction of Lily the Little Giant and the mysterious forces surrounding her. This episode escalates the conflict by throwing the Straw Hats into direct confrontation with Shuzo's forces, building momentum toward the arc's climax and ultimately serving as a lead-in to One Piece Film: Z.
