I hate those nobles so much for burning the junk heap and the people inside and it makes my skin crawl seeing how little they care about human life
gigai_ghost_476's avatar
gigai_ghost_476
I felt sick watching those nobles set the fire just to make the place look clean for some royal visit and it really shows how disgusting the people at the top are

The raw panic in Sabo as he sprinted, trying to warn everyone about the coming fire, made my stomach clench. I felt such an intense mix of pity and fury watching his efforts fall on deaf ears, knowing this kind of helplessness would echo with him for a long, long time.

Dragon talking to Sabo at the wall was such a huge surprise and it makes you wonder if they have some kind of history together

The transition from the peaceful flashback to the entire junk heap being set on fire was actually terrifying and it made the royals look like villains

I was not expecting Ace to pull out that conqueror power so early in the story and it makes me wonder how strong he actually was as a kid

I can't believe how disgusting those nobles were for setting the terminal on fire just to look good for some celestial dragon

The sheer arrogance of those royals, just casually observing the Terminal burn from their walls, honestly made my stomach turn. I can't believe how utterly detached they were, practically reveling in the destruction while people's lives were being annihilated right before their eyes.

When the wind started blowing and Dragon showed up, it felt like a completely different show for a second

Ace using his haki for the first time against Bluejam was such a shock and it really shows his potential
kido_knight's avatar

One Piece really knows how to make you hate the world government and those nobles are pure evil for burning the Gray Terminal just for a visit and it was so sad to watch Sabo try to save his friends while feeling ashamed of his birth and Dragon showing up felt so mysterious and that moment where Ace potentially used haki to save Luffy was a total shock

I can't believe how dark this story gets sometimes, because seeing the nobles drink tea while people burned alive just a few miles away was absolutely disgusting to watch.

Sabo realizing his own family was behind the fire is just heartbreaking and he looked so broken trying to warn Ace and Luffy while everyone else just watched the world burn

Ace going up against Bluejam was intense, and then seeing him just knock out all those goons? I was completely floored when it looked like he pulled out the same Conqueror's Haki Luffy used back at Amazon Lily, guess that kind of power runs in the family!

Sabo running through the streets crying about the smell of the city was a lot to handle and it really shows why he hates being a noble so much
kakashi_kage_98's avatar
kakashi_kage_98
The sheer despair of everyone trapped in that burning terminal, I truly believed they were all goners, which is why Dragon's sudden appearance amidst the smoke and fire, casually clearing everything with his wind, completely took my breath away. What a relief, seeing him swoop in and offer that single, powerful gust of hope.

Even if this flashback feels long seeing the king use Bluejam to do his dirty work before locking the gates on everyone shows why these backstory episodes are so necessary

It was so satisfying when Ace knocked out those guys with his haki, and hopefully he and Luffy can find a way to get away from the Bluejam pirates soon

I honestly feel so sick after watching those nobles burn down the Gray Terminal just because a celestial dragon was coming to visit and it really highlights how the people in power view everyone else as actual trash and Ace using his conquerors haki to save Luffy from Bluejam was a huge moment for me and I hope Dragon actually saved Sabo

I feel so sick after seeing those nobles set the fire and they really treat people like actual trash just because a Celestial Dragon is coming to visit and it makes me hate this kingdom

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode marks the climax of the nobles' conspiracy that escalated in the previous episode, turning scheming into devastating action as the Gray Terminal burns. It sits at the emotional peak of the ASL (Ace-Sabo-Luffy) childhood flashback arc, which has been building toward this crisis across several episodes. The fallout from this catastrophe directly feeds into the next episode, which deals with the aftermath and its lasting impact on the brothers' futures.
