The conversation between Kuma and Moria was huge, because hearing that Blackbeard is a Warlord now makes the world feel so much bigger and more dangerous for the Straw Hats moving forward

Moria literally sitting inside Oars and controlling him like a robot is just bizarre but it explains why the episode title called them the most heinous combination since Oars is just pure muscle

Brook saving Usopp at the last second with that bag of salt made me so happy because it shows he is a real member of the crew now and he knows exactly how to handle these zombies

It felt so tense when Kuma said the government is worried about the Straw Hats and it made me realize how much trouble they are actually in after everything that happened at Enies Lobby

You have to wonder how the Straw Hats are going to win this one because the sun is almost up and they look totally outclassed by Oars now that Moria is doing the thinking for him

Zoro using Shusui against Oars was so cool and you can tell that sword is on another level because he was actually pushing back those massive hits from the giant

I think Moria turning Oars into a giant pilotable mech is the craziest thing I have seen in this arc and it makes Oars way too dangerous now because he has a brain and it is terrifying to think about what happens when the sun comes up and they still do not have their shadows back so they are basically dead meat if they lose

When Zoro first went up against Oars and that Shusui *clanged* against his arm, I totally saw how much raw power and sheer weight that blade carries. It makes me think about how Zoro's always seeking out stronger swords, but this one feels like it's almost fighting him back, which is kinda epic.

Brook jumping in with the salt while everyone else was distracting Oars was a great move and it shows how well they work as a team

Moria being able to change the shape of a shadow to force the physical body to match it is such a broken ability and Oars is scary enough without it

The way Luffy is racing against the sunrise while the rest of the crew is getting beaten down is stressful, but seeing those guys offer him a hundred shadows at the end is a massive turn

I am still thinking about that conversation between Kuma and Moria because it feels like the World Government is finally starting to panic about what the Straw Hats are doing, seeing Oars stretch like Luffy because of the shadows was such a creepy twist too and I really hope the crew can hold out long enough for Luffy to actually show up

Moria hiding inside Oars and using the shadow revolution to give him rubber powers is such a dirty move and it makes the fight look completely unfair

When Nami, Usopp, and Franky finally teamed up with that oil and fire combo against Oars, my jaw literally dropped. I honestly thought Oars was unstoppable, so seeing them actually manage to wound him felt like such a massive, well-deserved win for the crew, giving them a glimmer of real hope.

Kuma appearing out of nowhere just to say the government is worried about the Straw Hats makes the stakes feel way bigger than just this island

Shusui looks so heavy when Zoro uses it to block those massive hits from Oars and it definitely feels like a huge upgrade for his fighting style

Seeing Oars start stretching because of Moria is honestly terrifying and I felt so stressed watching the crew struggle to keep up with those weird rubber movements

High quality art really makes the big action scenes stand out, and it makes the fight against Oars feel like a proper boss battle after all the wandering around in the mansion

This fight moves way faster than the earlier episodes of the arc and it helps that Zoro is actually getting some hits in on that massive zombie to keep things exciting

The animation for Zoro during this fight is absolutely insane and you can tell the studio put all their money into those sword movements to make him look that fast against a literal giant

EPISODE CONTEXT

Deep in the Thriller Bark arc's climactic battle sequence, Episode 369 escalates the combined Oars-Moria threat after Episode 368 introduced the looming presence of Bartholomew Kuma, adding another layer of danger to an already dire situation. The Straw Hats are fully committed to this fight with everything on the line, and this episode bridges the gap between the crew's initial assault strategies and the pivotal tactical shifts coming in Episode 370. It's a critical mid-battle chapter where the stakes crystallize and the crew's resolve is tested before the arc's resolution.
