I am still shaking after Kuma finally landed that massive punch on Saturn and seeing that old man fly through buildings was the highlight of my week and he really had it coming

That flashback montage took up way too much time and it felt like the story barely moved at all and we already saw most of those scenes anyway and they need to pick up the speed

Saturn looking like a demonic spider is actually terrifying and those horns and that purple lightning made him look like a straight up monster and Franky getting his beam blocked was scary

Seeing Saturn turn into that demonic spider monster is pure nightmare fuel and the purple lightning everywhere makes the situation feel way more dangerous than anything they faced before

I wanted to love the reunion, but the constant flashbacks were dragging the mood down so much and it felt like they were stalling for time instead of letting the emotional weight of the hug breathe

Vegapunk trying to explain Kuma moving with science was funny because it is clearly just the bond with Bonney keeping him going even without a brain and that is beautiful

Kizaru looking so depressed on that rock hit me hard. I can tell he hates having to fight his old friends. My heart breaks for everyone on this island right now

I really felt that hug between Bonney and Kuma after everything they went through and seeing Kuma move even with his mind gone was such a heavy moment for me

I have been waiting for Saturn to get humbled for so long and Kuma finally delivered that punch and it looked brutal. But man, the amount of recap and flashbacks in the middle really slowed things down for me. Seeing Bonney cry while hugging her dad still hit me deep in my soul and I just want them to be happy

it feels like we just watched these flashbacks last week and it dragged the whole episode down when we should be seeing the fight and the buster call is crazy though

That punch Kuma landed on Saturn felt like years of built up frustration just exploded and the way the shockwave ripped through buildings was absolutely brutal

Vegapunk needs to stop talking and just help them. His constant confusion about Kuma moving is starting to get old. You already know it is the power of love and he should just accept it

kuma standing there with one leg gone and still protecting his daughter is the most heroic thing and saturn coming back as a spider monster is actual nightmare fuel

The flashback montage went on for way too long. That same footage of Kuma’s life was just on screen two episodes ago. It really slowed down the momentum after that massive hit on Saturn

I'm still thinking about how Bonney finally realized what Kuma did for her, because it made that giant mechanical hand feel so much more human and I just wish the episode didn't spend half the runtime showing us clips from three weeks ago, since it really killed the momentum of Saturn turning into that absolute nightmare of a spider monster

I can’t believe Kuma actually landed that punch on Saturn. Seeing that spider old man fly through the buildings was so satisfying. I’m just happy Bonney finally got to hug her dad again

Saturn healing his limb immediately after Kuma smashed him was terrifying and now that Buster Call is coming it feels like everything is about to fall apart

kuma landing that hit on saturn felt so good but the pacing was kind of slow with all those flashbacks and it really killed the momentum for such a big moment

Seeing Kuma’s parents and the God Valley stuff again was emotional but it did feel like filler. Saturn coming back as a giant spider was actually scary. This guy is literally impossible to kill

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned deep within the Egghead Arc, Episode 1138 follows directly from Episode 1137's revelations about Bonney and Kuma's shared past, serving as the emotional climax of that character thread. It acts as the calm before a major storm — Episode 1139 triggers a Buster Call, dramatically escalating the arc's stakes from personal drama to full-scale military confrontation. This episode is the hinge point where the Egghead Arc pivots from introspective backstory payoff into its high-octane endgame.
