The Over Kong Gun looked absolutely wild with all the black lightning, seriously. But I can't believe it ended like that, I was hoping for a cleaner finish for Luffy's big move after all that build-up!

Another episode where Luffy gets knocked out after finally making progress against Kaido and it feels like we have been here before

The sound of Luffy charging up his Gear 4 punches was so satisfying but then that agent had to go and ruin the whole moment and now we just have to wait

The CP0 guy jumping in and grabbing Luffy like that was the most annoying thing ever and Kaido looked so crushed that he didn't get his fair win

I actually felt bad for Kaido when he realized the fight was ruined and that face he made looked exactly like the one from the Oden flashback so it was depressing to see history repeat itself

I cannot believe the government really sent that guy on a suicide mission just to stop a fair fight, but seeing Kaido look that devastated over a hollow victory really hit home.

X Drake trying to stop the interruption even while he was coughing up blood was a respectable move and it is a shame he could not hold the agent back long enough to let Luffy finish the final exchange

My jaw was practically on the floor watching Luffy and Kaido trade those crazy future sight blows mid-air, I was so invested in seeing who'd win fair and square. Then the World Government just had to butt in with that cheap shot, robbing us of a proper finish. Honestly, it makes me see them as the absolute worst villains even more clearly now.

I am honestly so heated about that CP0 guy jumping in and ruining the most important fight in the show, and watching Luffy get held back while Kaido swung was just painful to see. It clearly destroyed Kaido inside too because he just wanted a fair duel like he missed out on with Oden, so I really hope Luffy has something massive left

The Five Elders ordering a hit in the middle of a battle between emperors shows how desperate the government is getting and Guernica knew he was dead the moment he stepped onto that roof and he still did it

I was not expecting them to parallel the Oden distraction so perfectly and seeing Kaido break down like that made me actually feel bad for the guy and Luffy looked completely gone after that blow from the club

Jinbe is really the only one keeping his head while the whole castle burns down around everyone and he is doing the heavy lifting for the evacuations while the rooftop is falling apart into total chaos for our heroes

The look on Kaido face when he realized he won because of an interruption was pure misery and it really showed how much he wanted a real fight and he looks like he wants to crush that agent

Raizo standing there while literally burning alive just to win a staring contest was actually insane, and I am glad that long fight is finally over so we can focus on the rooftop and see the outcome

I actually liked Raizo sticking it out through the fire and his win felt earned after all that time standing still in the flames

The white flash on that final Bagua was terrifying and Luffy just deflating made the whole room feel empty

Guernica standing there and just taking the look from Kaido was cold because he knew he was dead the second he touched Luffy

I really hated seeing that CP0 guy jump in and ruin the intensity when Luffy was about to land that final hit because it felt so cheap after all that build up and now everything is a mess on the roof

Hearing the sound just cut out when Guernica grabbed Luffy felt like a punch to the gut, and you could tell how much it killed Kaido to win like that. He has been waiting decades for a fair fight to the death and the World Government just turned his dream match into a disgusting repeat of what happened with Oden

Kaido's dragon form looked genuinely terrifying with its dark colors and glowing eyes, and I actually gasped at how menacing he was. That Gear 4 Snakeman animation though, seeing Luffy dart around like a heat-seeking missile against the emperor, left me completely breathless; he was so determined to win this one.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned deep within the Wano Country arc's climactic stretch, Episode 1069 follows directly from Episode 1068's setup of the battle's final phase, escalating the Luffy-versus-Kaido showdown to a critical breaking point. CP0's involvement complicates the fight beyond a simple duel, raising the stakes for Wano's liberation. The next episode, 'Luffy is Defeated?!,' signals that this clash reaches a devastating turning point, making 1069 essential viewing before the arc's most dramatic pivot.
