Killer is actually a genius for figuring out the loophole with Kid having no left arm. Watching him cut Hawkins down and finally freeing Kid from that voodoo stuff was the best way to help his captain

Kanjuro and Kinemon being alive again is getting ridiculous. It really takes away from the weight of the war when nobody actually dies and that fire demon thing just feels like another way to drag things out

I still can't believe Sanji just broke that sword with his neck. His face looked so scared of what he is becoming and it actually made me feel bad for him even with the massive power boost

Killer figured out the arm loophole and it was cold how he just lopped it off without a second thought to save Kid

I hate seeing Sanji so scared of what he is becoming because that sword shattering on his neck was crazy and he looks like he is losing his mind

Drake was right to be suspicious because Apoo is way too sketchy and those giant Numbers in the shadows looked ominous

killer really outsmarted hawkins by aiming for the missing arm and the relief for kid when he finally got his strength back was huge

Kin'emon's lower half running around was honestly ridiculous and it really lightened the mood before that terrifying fire demon appeared and Kanjuro just keeps finding new ways to make everything worse for the samurai

I was honestly shocked when Sanji's bones just snapped back into place like that and the sound effects made me cringe and my heart sank seeing him worry about losing his human emotions to those Germa genes

Killer cutting his own arm to save Kid was such a brilliant move, and it really shows how far he'll go for his captain. Hawkins never saw that loophole coming and it was so satisfying to watch.

I am so glad Killer finally ended that match and it was about time Kid got a break from all that random damage and Hawkins really got what he deserved after that unfair doll trick

The auras during the Luffy and Kaido fight were much better this week and they did not distract from the action and watching the clouds split from that Haki clash was easily the part that stuck with me most

Watching that massive sword just shatter against Sanji's neck was a huge moment and his terrified reaction to becoming like his brothers makes the whole power up feel more like a curse

The pacing felt a bit slow since we are still jumping between so many different floors and characters and it is hard to stay locked in when the story shifts away from Luffy and Kaido so fast

I actually loved the scene with the farting legs, and it was so classic One Piece to have a serious moment with Kin'emon turned into a joke. The way Nami just drew on him to make sure he was an ally was hilarious. It felt like a nice break because the rest of the castle is literally burning down around everyone right now.

Discovering that ancient city under Wano is such huge lore, and finding out Pluton is actually here changes everything for the final war

You really have to feel for Sanji in this one and that sword shattering against his neck was such a cool visual but the look on his face afterward makes the power up feel like a curse

Apoo trying to play both sides with those massive giants in the shadows was such a snake move and Drake was right to look at him with total disgust during that whole conversation

The way that fire demon just *moved* through the castle was genuinely unsettling, and I didn't expect the sudden switch to that traditional Japanese art style for Kanjuro's last painting. It gave me chills, like his final act was truly sealing Wano's fate with a curse drawn from history itself.

I really felt for Sanji during that flashback when he realized his body was changing just like the siblings he hates. Queen was being such a menace with those lasers, and the comedy of Sanji running away worked well because he was genuinely having a panic attack about losing his heart. The animation on his legs during that retreat looked super sharp too

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting deep within the Wano Country arc's climactic Onigashima raid, Episode 1055 builds on the aftermath of several major confrontations while introducing new complications that keep the battlefield unpredictable. It serves as a connective episode, bridging the intense clashes that preceded it with the escalating revelations and alliance-testing moments ahead. The shadowy machinations teased here lay groundwork for pivotal developments in the arc's final stretch.
