I can't believe Queen really turned the whole floor into a game of tag while everyone is turning into monsters and my boy Chopper is out here trying to save everyone with a smoke bomb

Where was the pursuit part because Zoro was barely on screen. It is disappointing when the title says one thing but the episode just drags its feet with random flashbacks

I feel like I watched the same three scenes of people turning into ice on repeat for half the runtime and it is honestly exhausting. I was looking forward to seeing Zoro do something but he barely appeared in his own episode. Chopper curing everyone was cool but the rest of this just felt like filler padding

Everyone is debating if that Oden is real but there is no way he has both swords when Zoro is running around with Enma right now

The animation is still looking great but the story is moving at a snails pace and it feels like we have been in this same room for three weeks and Zoro is barely moving

When Chopper went full Monster Point, I legit gasped, like Queen is seriously about to get a taste of his own medicine! My boy's totally done playing doctor, and I'm hyped to see him finally unleash all that pent-up frustration on that big oaf.

Hyogoro almost dying was tense for a second but Chopper saved the day at the end. The virus concept is cool but they are stretching these chapters way too thin and it ruins momentum

I can't stand Queen for what he did to Hyogoro and those samurais

Experiencing the Akazaya Nine's surge of hope at the sight of what they believed was Oden, only to have it cruelly snatched away by Kanjuro's fake, made my gut clench. I felt such a profound sense of outrage for them; he's truly the lowest for toying with their emotions so maliciously, and I can't wait for him to get what's coming.

Chopper never stops being a doctor even in the middle of a literal war zone and his monster point roar at the end was a cool way to close things out
sailor_jupiter_395's avatar
sailor_jupiter_395
My patience is wearing thin with these episodes that barely adapt half a manga chapter, because it makes the whole Ice Oni plot feel like it is taking forever and I enjoyed seeing Chopper get angry and save Master Hyogoro with that antidote, but we really need to get back to the actual rooftop fight before this raid slows down

When Chopper totally faced off against Queen, my jaw dropped! I mean, who would've thought our little cotton candy lover could stand up to an actual disaster, but then again, he's always been fiercely protective of his friends, and saving Hyogoro just proves he's got the biggest heart and the best medical chops around.

It is wild how Yamato just stands there and eats every attack Sasaki throws while claiming she is Oden and the durability on this character is insane, and the visual effects during that clash looked so sharp on screen
yamabiko_yamato_40's avatar

The slow pacing is starting to get to me and I wish they would just get to the roof already instead of showing more background characters crying

I am so tired of these drawn out group shots and Queen laughing forever. It took way too long to get to the Chopper scene and my patience is wearing thin

You could skip half this and not miss a single plot point. Queen just keeps talking and the samurais just keep crying while the actual main story stays completely still
zanjutsu_zealot_474's avatar
zanjutsu_zealot_474
Queen is actually such a twisted villain and his rap about the virus is super dark when you see everyone suffering below him and the way he treats his own crew is disgusting
nunnally_lamperouge_174's avatar
nunnally_lamperouge_174
That Oden cliffhanger really messed with my head and I am almost certain it is one of Kanjuro's drawings trying to trick the Scabbards again. The way Queen is treating his own men like garbage with that stupid game is disgusting and I hope Chopper makes him regret every single second of this virus mess on the floor.

Watching the samurai cry while they were forced to point their swords at their own leader was heart wrenching and it makes you hate Queen even more and Chopper coming through was a relief

Yamato taking all those hits to protect Momonosuke and Shinobu shows how much of a tank she is and the animation for her fighting Sasaki was actually really high quality regardless of the slow pacing

EPISODE CONTEXT

Picking up directly from Episode 1006, where Chopper committed to finding a cure for the Ice Oni virus, this episode escalates the crisis by introducing Queen's twisted antibody game and shifting focus to Zoro's aggressive push through infected territory. It deepens the multi-front chaos of the Onigashima raid and sets the stage for Episode 1008, where Nami steps into the spotlight against Ulti, continuing the Wano arc's pattern of rotating character-driven confrontations across the battlefield.
