It was an amazing first episode, gives you a lot to look forward to with a concise intro to the main character.

The first half has a heavy storyline with politics and tax, but it's still understandable since it doesn't dive too deep yet. In the middle, tension builds, and the last part gives us an emotional ending with character development for the MC!

I just can't shake the feeling this is a great, stylish anime to forward some right-wing political propaganda. :/ It looks amazing! But also the characters are just so... plain.

A gripping premiere with stunning art and sharp political tension. Some sad yet very real scenes make it even stronger, creating real empathy for the characters. I really like that cruelty, it makes the story hit harder. Great start, I expect a lot from this anime.

That Taira Denki is seriously one of the most monstrous villains I have seen in a while I hope he gets what's coming to him

The way Saki's death pushed Aoteru to change everything that's peak motivation right there

The art style is so unique and haunting and the splashes of red really hit hard

This episode started with such a jarring info dump of Japan's collapse and the new Sangoku period, it honestly came out of nowhere but I am so here for it

Aoteru's dedication to agriculture and Sun Tzu quotes mean this show will be super strategic and I am ready for it

This episode went from calm to pure chaos faster than I could blink. That ending was a real gut punch and left me stunned.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the series premiere of Nippon Sangoku, this episode has no prior groundwork to build on — it is the foundation itself. 'An Oath for Peace' functions as the ideological catalyst for the entire narrative, introducing the warring factions of a shattered Japan and anchoring the story's moral compass through Aoteru Misumi's conviction. Everything that follows in the season stems from the oath and worldview established here.
