I'd say it's a good canon, though, the animation was kinda smooth. The story & lore were interesting, and we got to see a bit of Shigeru's childhood recollection. I love how this series captures the emotion of nostalgia into something that feels so sentimental.

This ep is a whole quiet vibe and I am honestly obsessed. It’s a total slow-burn, masterclass in melancholy that gives Natsume the emotional depth we crave. Sure, the pacing drags a bit if you're looking for action, but the rich folklore and bittersweet character depth are fire.

As always, it's always good to watch a story of Natsume's Book of Friends. It's a standard story that is both adorable and allows you to be carried away by the beauty of nostalgia. All the while learning another interesting youkai.
