Seeing new character is very refreshing, it expands more on the world-building in this anime. That last scene would be a nightmare but it's scary how it could actually happen irl T^T

I'm relating so much with Tsukasa in this episode. You have the talent but you just have to build the confidence too so you can unlock your full potential. But also know that your environment (surrounding people and other circumstances) will either make or break you, and it's on you how to navigate that

I love that we're not just focusing on Inori. We literally have two MCs here. The way both of their progresses are advancing steadily shows how well thought-out the writing is for this anime. It's perfectly balanced and no one overshadows the other

I really loved the growth of Inori and Tsukasa's relationship and how well they now understand each other. Tsukasa's words of appreciation and how he made Inori understand things was nice to see. There were many funny moments throughout the episode.

Well, the episode's definitely a set-up for something big with the new characters, and that what i like on this episode is that it shows how Inori is progressing with her ability as a skater within four months. I also like the banter relationship between the two coaches.

This is the "world-building" episode. It moves past the initial mentor-student bubble to show you the massive mountain Inori actually has to climb. If you’ve ever felt like a small fish in a big pond, this episode’s mix of humor and "pre-game" jitters will hit home.

Progress becomes more noticeable here. The improvements feel earned, and the story starts to show clearer direction, nice to see steady growth that feels satisfying and well-deserved.

I love the comedy in this anime; it's so well-paced and so natural. I love the coach-student dynamic and how they understand each other so well. Don't give up, Inori! But don't be too hard on yourself, too<3

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting just past the midpoint at episode 7 of 13, this follows Inori's first taste of competition and channels that momentum into structured growth through the Level One Badge Test. It serves as a critical bridge episode, deepening the Inori-Tsukasa dynamic while introducing Western competitors who will factor heavily into the upcoming West Japan Championship arc. The groundwork laid here—both technically and emotionally—directly feeds into the escalation promised by 'Western Powerhouses.'
