He observes them, noting their strategic encirclement, which elevates them beyond mere beasts. It becomes clear this fight requires more than brute strength from Reed, it demands a strategy.

Reed uses his 'Appraisal' skill, revealing the Lizardman leader possesses 'Command' and, more crucially, a subordinate with the 'Scapegoat' skill. This revelation explains the leader's unexpected resilience to his first attack. Understanding the trick, Reed shifts his target, dispatching the protector with cold efficiency. With the 'Scapegoat' gone, the leader is vulnerable, and Reed moves in for the decisive blow.

After the battle, Reed meticulously prepares the Lizardman meat using his magical bag and cooking supplies. He reflects on his past struggles, noting the stark contrast between eating raw meat and this cooked meal. The act of cooking is almost reverent, a ritual that brings him immense satisfaction. As he eats, he gains new skills, consolidating his unique path to power through consumption, stating, 'If I keep eating like this, I might end up only being able to eat monster meat.'

Reed emerges, dismissing the hunters as mere criminals, much to Ninia's alarm. She warns him to flee, but he ignores her, approaching the group with unsettling calm. When one hunter, Zariasu, attacks, Reed surprises everyone by spitting a glob of 'Poison Liquid' directly into his face. Zariasu collapses, screaming, as Reed casually explains his new, monstrous fighting style.

Enraged, Falzas and the remaining hunters coordinate their attack, managing to kick Reed into a bubbling poison swamp. Falzas believes him finished, confidently turning back to Ninia. However, as minutes pass, a deadly miasma rises from the swamp, weakening the hunters. Reed then slowly emerges, completely unharmed, revealing his 'Status Ailment Nullification' and his deliberate release of miasma to weaken his foes.

With the hunters weakened by his miasma, Reed unleashes a brutal flurry of attacks. He employs 'Muscle Strength Enhancement,' 'Thunder,' and 'Air Slash' with deadly precision, swiftly eliminating the remaining lackeys. Falzas, the last man standing, makes a desperate but futile defense. Reed admits Falzas might be stronger in a fair fight, but declares, 'this isn't a fair fight,' before delivering a final, cleaving blow.

The episode closes with a montage of Reed and Ninia traveling together, sharing meals and laughter. We see them in a tavern, then in the forest where Reed cooks for an amazed Ninia.
