I was not expecting that robot girl to be so cold when dealing with the targets and it felt creepy when the virus started spreading through the screens

These sci fi elements in this OVA are so gritty and dark and that new drug plotline is starting to get really messy in a good way

That guy getting shot and then just standing right back up was enough to make anyone quit and the way the music gets all distorted during the virus scenes is so cool

I think the virus literally melting the network is terrifying and it was scary watching the robot girl just stare blankly while everything around her started breaking down

Kanako and that robot girl really have a weird dynamic and that target coming back to life every time is genuinely creepy and makes the whole mystery even more confusing

That robot assistant is carrying the whole show and the way she protects him from the network virus is so sweet

Watching a guy fail to kill the same target twice is frustrating and the drug plot is not making any sense yet

I think the secret agent vibes are great and that ending where he starts losing his memory made me feel bad for him

The pacing gets a bit messy when they switch from the virus plot to the romance, but seeing the robot assistant fight back was cool

The mystery behind why that target keeps coming back to life is actually grabbing me more than the adult stuff, and I really like the gritty early 2000s art style. It feels like a mix of cyberpunk and a standard spy thriller but with a robot assistant who might have more feelings than she lets on in these scenes

You can really tell the robot girl cares about him and the action scenes with the virus spreading were actually high stakes

That scene where the target gets shot and just stands back up was some solid horror stuff and the sci fi tech looks cool

That weird synth music during the chase for the target who would not die was actually creepy and it made the atmosphere way better for me

Robot girl looking at him while he fixes the network virus makes the romance plot feel way more tragic

The visuals are nice but those hentai scenes felt like they were just interrupting the mystery about the weird new drug for me

That ending song reminds me so much of the Monogatari series and it really fits the mood after watching Shun finally log back in to play

Nozomi's dad has failed at so many businesses but somehow running a gaming cafe with an actual pro team is his new plan and it works so well for the setting

It is impossible to watch Yuu and not think of Rent-A-Girlfriend since the character design is literally Ruka, but then she opens her mouth and she sounds just like Chizuru. Kanna Hirayama definitely has a specific type and having Sora Amamiya on the voice cast just seals the deal for the fans but the show is still its own thing and stays interesting.

Mio is a total sweetheart for encouraging Shun to log back in and seeing her support him like that hit me pretty hard

Sugita's character coming in as the Fallen Angel Winged Cat Princess is exactly what this show needed and the way he brought his own gear shows he is a real one

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 2 sits at the critical midpoint of this compact three-episode OVA, following the world-building and character introduction of Episode 1. 'Protocol' is where the series is expected to deepen its central conflict and raise the cost of its stakes before the concluding episode delivers resolution. What happens here directly shapes the emotional and narrative payoff of Episode 3, making it the connective tissue the finale depends on.
