It is nice to see a show that actually builds up the romance before getting to the spicy stuff, especially with such a quiet lead character

The protagonist is pretty much a blank slate and it feels like every other vn adaptation out there right now

The uncle calling him out for being a hermit hit me way too hard but at least the main girl is cute

I think the transition from the dating sim vibe worked better than I expected and the hair details on the girls looks great

the scene in the apartment had some really nice detail and the colors used for the backgrounds were actually quite impressive

I remember playing the game a while back and they did a pretty good job translating the art style to animation. The way the protagonist interacts with the girls feels very grounded for this genre. It is nice to see a show that actually focuses on the romance building up before jumping into the adult stuff and the uncle is hilarious

Uncle really out here kicking him out of the room just to find a girlfriend and the animation for the girl is actually decent compared to the game

you might expect a bit more of a unique hook but it mostly just feels like a regular romance story so far and the pacing is a little slow

hibiki works always has such soft and pretty character designs and they really nailed the look of the girls in this first episode
marluxia_454's avatar

the main guy is just another generic protagonist with no personality and he just feels like a cardboard cutout for the viewer

i really liked the lighting in the park scene and it made the whole atmosphere feel way more romantic than i expected

that first encounter at school was actually sweet, even if the premise of his uncle forcing him out is a bit cliché

the art style is so clean for an ova and the main girl looks great in that school uniform

i think the uncle was the real mvp for kicking him out of the house because he actually found someone cute
chika_fujiwara_162's avatar
chika_fujiwara_162
it feels like a standard visual novel adaptation and the plot is pretty basic but the animation was decent enough
yuu_ishigami's avatar

The way they set up his uncle basically kicking him out to find a girlfriend was funny and it led to some nice moments at school

I felt so bad for the main guy trying to figure out how to start a conversation after being stuck in his room for so long

Watching the main guy struggle to talk to women at the start was relatable and then that encounter in the park felt very sweet

You can tell the studio put effort into the background art for the spring setting because it looks better than the average show and that first girl he meets is adorable

I was surprised that the uncle is actually a nice guy who just wants his nephew to find love and the art style for the girls is so pretty

EPISODE CONTEXT

With only two episodes total, Volume 1 carries the full weight of introduction — establishing the central romantic pairing, setting the emotional tone, and laying the groundwork for the intimacy that Volume 2 will carry to its conclusion. There is no prior episode to build from, making this the essential entry point. What begins here in terms of character dynamic and atmosphere is directly continued and resolved in the final episode.
