Amidst the chaos, Akatsuki, dressed as a nun with an eye patch, reclines on a throne carried by her zombie servants, looking rather bored. Lin, later, finds Akatsuki unconscious and expresses genuine concern. The small zombies, too, show worry for their mistress, indicating a bond beneath the bizarre exterior.

Akatsuki slowly stirs, disoriented and asking for Lin. Lin, relieved but observant, notices a painting is now missing from the wall. Akatsuki admits her memory is hazy, having been caught off guard by the event. The brief dialogue reveals a crucial element of the unfolding mystery, a key piece taken from the scene.

A horned knight threatens Akatsuki, but she quickly dispatches him with a swift kick. She then summons her zombies, their eyes glowing, and commands them to form a giant, rocky fist. This powerful construct erupts in fire, creating a massive explosion that rocks the castle. Akatsuki stands confident, twirling a small gun, as Lin and the remaining zombies watch, surprised but impressed.

Akatsuki recounts the eerie details of the missing painting: a man standing before it, and the painting itself appearing to 'bleed' with a gruesome, raw smell of blood. Lin is horrified by the description. Akatsuki, with a confident wink, declares their next mission: a 'glorious vampire rescue operation' for Arsene. They burst into a grand hall where Arsene lies in a coffin of roses, only for him to awaken with sinister red eyes and tell Lin it is time for her to die.

Akatsuki, quickly joined by Tsukai the nun, leaps to protect Lin, initiating a fierce battle against the hostile Arsene. They land powerful blows, slamming him against walls and through a stained-glass window. Lin watches, distraught, then rushes to the fallen Arsene. Her zombie companions gather around her, forming a shield, before dissolving into dust with quiet, grateful smiles, telling Lin they have protected her.

As the zombies fade, Arsene emerges, extending a hand to Lin, who clutches her chest, feeling compelled to reach for him. They are transported to a magical ballroom, dancing under colorful lights. Arsene challenges Lin's belief in his trust, calling humans 'livestock.' Lin, however, defiantly asserts that he sees her as herself, Lin Ryne Vais, beyond human or vampire, and she is proud of that unique connection.

The illusory Arsene's eyes glow red, and he transforms into a winged vampire, attacking Akatsuki and throwing Lin to the ground. Yet, the real Arsene appears, offering his hand to a wounded Lin, who accepts his power. Together, the real Arsene and Lin destroy Akatsuki's portrait with a beam of blood magic, revealing it to be the source of the curse. Lin proudly explains her detective work, having memorized the castle's floor plan and noted a discrepancy, leading her to the hidden room and earning Arsene's impressed gaze.

Arsene commands Lin to step aside, then seals the hallway with a barrier of blood spikes, indicating the serious nature of the coming confrontation. He confronts Vlad, the true antagonist, unleashing a barrage of swift, powerful blows. Vlad transforms into a monstrous, fiery form, his eyes glowing with malice, but Arsene's attack overwhelms him. Arsene impales Vlad with blood spikes, silencing his defiant curses.

Akatsuki, in the background, expresses disappointment, seemingly frustrated by Arsene's calm. Arsene, however, ignores her, impaling Vlad further with another shower of blood spikes. Vlad screams in agony, desperately calling for more blood, before Arsene delivers a final, fatal blow, impaling him through the head with a blood pillar. Vlad's body dissolves into a blood-red mist as Arsene walks away, satisfied.

Lin and Arsene stand together on a rooftop overlooking the castle, sharing a moment of quiet satisfaction. Later, in a study, Lin proudly presents Arsene with a portrait she painted of him, claiming it's her best work. Arsene, however, is furious, calling it an insult with no artistic merit. He storms off, frustrated, but then turns and calls for Lin to follow, implying their journey together continues despite his annoyance.

The episode concludes with an extended fantasy sequence: Arsene and Lin walk together, share tender glances, and then are enveloped in sparkling light. Arsene kisses her cheek, her forehead, and finally her lips, surrounded by twinkling lights and rose petals. They dance elegantly in a grand ballroom, holding each other close, whispering, and embracing. He lifts her into his arms, carrying her away into a romantic, idealized vision.

The romantic scene transitions into the episode's title card, followed by the credits. A brief, smiling appearance of Vlad during the credits, however, hints that perhaps not all is truly settled. The cast and crew are listed, concluding the episode.
